Actually Duncan will be able to map it correct but then then any mapper can get in contact with Anthony at Alcatek to get the code to wipe it just like Duncan did for me when I first bought it

I thought were no longer supported too ?
Why not get the code then it would sell with confidence it can be used ?
Most tuners no longer recommend these due to the terrible support.
Well considering Duncan phoned Ant and got a code direct from him to wipe it and start again only a couple to months ago I think that's alias of crap mate

My friend emailed Duncan about getting his alcatek ecu unlocked so he can get another mapper to map it for him up north, and was told that the ecu is locked to the original mapper i.e "HIM" and told my mate that their is no unlocking code but if he wants it remapped he would be more then happy to do it LOL...So if you can get a unlocking code I will pass the information on to my mate who will give Duncan a serious peace of his mind for being lied too.Anyway mate GLWTS.SJ.

Well I think it's funny then as I bought the ECU with no idea who mapped it, Duncan phoned the bloke that owns Alacatek and got a code direct from him to wipe the ECU and then Duncan mapped my ECU, hence why it has a map on it now from Duncan, I spoke to Duncan about getting a code for it from him as he as a dongle that he plugs into it for mapping, he said just get the buyer to contact him in regards to mapping or the mapper will have to contact the bloke who owns Alcatek and get the code to wipe it. End of the days thanks for all jumping on my thread for all your information but I know it can be done as I have had it done and only a few months ago!
just to let anyone know but I spoke to Andy on the phone yesterday so they are still sorting ecu's out for customers as iv just had two done
Have you got any contact details for Andy then mate as I have a friend that has one,but has been told that it cannot be changed for another mapper to map it.SJ.
