Are these boxes ok for a road car? What rear diff is needed for this? Will I be able to put my dccd rear section on this?

Depends on how you find the noise. YouTube a few vids.
I had one in my old car absolutely loved it.
Is it 1-5 straight cut or does it have a normal 5th?

It's not really a daily, more just a weekend car so I could put up with the noise.... but the car is an STI ra and don't really want to lose the short ratios and dccd.

It's standard UK ratios
Can be used in a road car as 5th is normal standard 5th gear
DCCD tail section could indeed be married to the box

Rear diff may need to be changed Ciaran as all DCCD boxes use 1:1 drop gears

How different are the ratios in a UK? How does the ppg compare in strength to the sti 6 speed?

Mixed reviews on strength.
Some say similar some say less.
I personally never had an issue at 420bhp on a 2.1.
Anyway open to sensible offers

Been running one for a for years at around 450(ish) without issue, I actually enjoy the noise.

How often do they need rebuilt? What rear diff would I need for this box? And am I right in saying my dccd rear section will just bolt onto the back of it?

No more than any normal box TBH.
You need a 3.54 rear diff to match this box

Didn't notice you said you had the matching rear diff if required... what's your absolute best price on this?

I ran and raced the exactly same at 500/500 for a couple years with no issues. At that level the weight saving over a six speed is certainly worth it.
