Sorry to bring bad news but I went to see this car in September last year at a dealer up north back before I purchased mine. Its had a rear impact on the offside with a bad repair of the rear bumper and the lower chassis was kinked.
Look bad from under the car behind the rear bumper and you'll be able to see the filler, also the damage to the chassis was quite visible. Its not unsafe but it needed a little more work to fix correctly.
The garage selling it quite obviously purchased damaged cars and fixed them as they had a body shop full of exotic cars being fixed (M3's RS's etc).
Also the dealer selling it said it must be run on premium fuel and then proceeded to fill it with 95 as the pump said premium on it!

ok,just got home all very worried and pissed off thinking ive bought some kind of ringer or cut and shut car!!
ive laid under the car and to me and i'm no expert.its had a knock up the bum at some point. theres a small amount of fibreglass filler on backside of bumper thats inline with the chassis. the end of the chassis has a slight dent on the end. and thats it. ive taken photo's of underside of car and various other places to show it. and from the outside of the car on bumper etc you cannot tell at all. so bodge job it isn't.
i'd welcome anyone to look for themselves.
in regards to engine, that's why i got it mapped myself to see if any issues would come up or the engine would go boom. it didnt. it doesnt leak oil or water or smoke.
boost, looking at the graph it looks like 2.1 bar? is that right?. thats what simon said it could make more if boost was upped a little.

Didn't want to put a damper on the sale just felt I needed to mention it. just needed a bit of sorting. When I drove it last year it felt straight and fine to drive, braked in a straight line. I almost missed it when I viewed it, as its not that easy to spot at a glance. Very few have survived this long without a knock at some point anyway.
Bar that the car pulled strong, dealer wasn't driving it so a couple of miles on 95 won't have done any major harm, besides it might have been mapped for 95 at the time.
Good history, plenty of big money receipts and some good kit on it.

unfairly? I don't see how, I've just pointed something out that the op might not have been aware of. Trying to help, not hinder.
If possible maybe the mods can clean the thread or delete and the op can relist?

Maybe if you were trying to help you'd have put "viewed this car and I did notice a small repair to the bumper and the bumper support bracket is bent. That wouldn't put me off, but saying the chassis is kinked I would obviously be thinking **** that.

i agree with jameswrx, when i read longuns post at work on my phone, i was devastated to say the least.
the way it was worded sounded like i'd bought a death trap which was badly repaired from some major cowboys.
but i was also not entirely convinced as i'd seen/drove car for last 3 weeks.
the whole bumper must have been resprayed [result] to the highest standard as it looks imaculate.
i have checked inside boot, outside boot, under car and can see no further signs of damage. maybe the car was reversed into one of those big concrete *****? who knows? theres no evidence of resprayed anything.
one of the main reasons for selling is i know i'll end up upgrading this that and the other and it'll cost me a fortune.i've got 3 cars.
in respect of 4.5k for it,it seems in this day and age if i put 4.5k someone will offer 3.5k,if i put 3.5k someone will offer 2.5k.this is how it goes.
the only version 5/6 wagons i saw for sale were for between 3.5k and 6k for that lovely v limited one.
where this is going to go now i've no idea.
