Definitely keep this, don't go to a newage!!! Out of the 3 scoobies I've owned my old type r is the one I miss the most and wish I still had, something about it that made it feel a lot more special than the newage ones I had. Personally I think you'll regret it if you did get rid, especially as its tastefully modified.

Thanks for the replies guys and kind comments about the car. I know what you saying about keeping it but I miss my newage comfort. If I was offered the right money I would prob let her go. Or if a nice blob sti came along for a straight swap ;-)

I'd say around the 7k mark with the condition/milage and mods. Colour is a real treat aswel as I have a v5 type r in this colour aswell which has just had a full respray and restored underneath. Wouldn't get rid of mine yet. Keep her mate, only going get more rare in the condition it's in.

You won't get 7k for a type R that is running a standard engine.. No matter how nice it looks or if it has decent spec. I would say it will fetch 5-6k as long as you are willing to hold out for the right person with cash.
Nice car GLWTS.

Tbf I have had an offer of 7k but it was back when I first got the car but I wasn't ready to sell at the time. Not sure if i'am now. It maybe standard engine but it's a very low miler. I understand what you are saying..
Thanks again for the replies

IMO I think an unmolested example is with more. Just my opinion though. It's very clean, has some tasty modifications and is a nice colour, which u don't see many in this colour really. If a standard clean p1 can fetch 8k I'm sure this could do pretty well with the milage it's done. But like I said every1 has there own opinion.
But GLWTS hope u get a decent offer.

Lovely looking car, however I have a couple if questions:
1) Not sure if it is the light but the bonnet looks to be a different shade of silver in the first photo??
2) In the 6th photo, the right hand side of the air bag looks to have a large gap between this and the steering wheel itself?
3) What is the reason for the ecu needed an update? Have more mods been fitted since the last map?
As for value? It is what it is. A modified Type R on the standard original engine. Low mileage or not, that is a sticking point for some.
£6k would be a realistic price if you actually want to shift it.

It's a bit disingenuous to claim "I'm not sure what she is worth to be totally honest" and then to reject two estimates that are offered.
If you really want to sell the car, put a price up and be willing to drop a bit after negotiation. Anything else is just fannying around I'm afraid.
Nice car btw

1 I think it's the light mate
2 that is an old pic but I will be looking at this when I get home
3 no mods since it was mapped just get more features with alcatek as sometimes tick over is abit up and down.
