just a feeler - V5 sti type r
Gun metal grey 98' v5 sti type r. Lots of mot an tax left so no issues there. Car has a few modifications over standard including tein lowering springs, full japspeed exhaust system, alkatec race ecu and toucan monitor (£2k worth of kit!), ars inner wing induction, silicone hoses And lots more that can be found in my progress thread.
Car has been worked on mainly by martyn at engine tuner and my dad who was a former cosworth mechanic. Ive been offered a job in kent so I will be racking up large miles from commuting and dont know if I can justify keeping this as a toy for weekends. That said I have no intention on letting it go cheap and am looking for any excuse to keep it.
Car has no paint defects, rust, interior wear or any creeks and groans. The one defect it has is that I have worn through an arch liner on the driver side. Thats it. All electric s work perfectly, dccd box is perfect and the car made 301.9bhp on the rollers with just the exhaust and ecu on at standard boost.
I also have a matching japspeed belmouthed downpipe and japspeed fmic kit waiting to be fitted (or sold with the car) once the weather perks up.
I purchase the car from a friend who owned it for 4 years. He got the car cheap as it had a bottom end knock and put a reconditioned engine in it straight away. Fro thismpoint he run the car as a standard type r with no modifications whatsoever for his entire ownership.
Unfortunately I have no documentation for this which is a shame but im sure AP motors in plymouth can confirm when the work was completed and martyn at enginetuner can confirm when he mapped the original ecu (I do habe the rr print for this). Shell is showing 166k (still in clicks) and is without doubt the cleanest classic ive seen thats in daily use.
Price is £5750 px possible
