Default subaru impreza sti type r

Hi im looking at selling my type r as need something with 4 doors, will possibly p/x for the right car, if it dosnt sell ill keep it for the winter then advertise early next year

1998 v4 type r in white
tax dec mot june
109k is my daily so will change, mixture of km and miles imported in 2005
engine rebuild in june at 108k by mark at tdracing due to knocking, this was his car and his named as the previous owner on the logbook, i know it was rebuilt using newage sti bottom end, and would be good for 450bhp if required
vf24
apexi power fc and hand controller fitted by andy forrest, running approx 300bhp, i think thats being cautious but would rather say that and it be more
front brembos fitted last month with godspeed discs and orangestuff pads
rear discs and pads replaced at same time all at tdr,
pff7 replicas (inovit i think) fitted at the same time, these need a refurb but was desperate as old wheels wouldnt fit over brakes, was going to wait till after the winter to get them done,
lowered suspension, unsure by how much
22b front bumper
apexi induction
apexi turbo timer
lamco gauges x4
jvc touchscreen dvd player
blitz nur spec full decat exhaust with bung
front mount intercooler

only issues are airbag light is on, unsure why can be tuned off with a resistor but was going to fit an sti steering wheel and see if it cured it, and a couple of tiny rust bubbles on the arch, i mean tiny, the car is booked in to get these sorted in 2 weeks so will either be done and i didnt need to mention it or if someone wanted it before id knock the cash off,

any questions please ask and ill try my best, theres probably stuff ive missed, id welcome any inspection i get a lot of comments about the car and will be gutted when it goes whenever that may be, thanks for reading

£5200

pics below sorry cant seem to get them on the thread any help appreciated!

Have to agree £4,5k for a 15 year old car is about right!!

I paid less then what BIG FUD has offered for my 98 white STi Type R with less miles, with Simtek anti lag, launch, Advan wheels etc and the arches where mint and that was 4 years ago!!!

Worth every penny of the asking price !!!
As said,
its been rebuilt, 109k is mixture of miles and km so will be far less than 109k and he's having the arches done.

Op, hold out. Cars advertised on here never make their money, ignore the offers and get a really well written ad up on pistonheads.

Heads up

I went to see this car today and just think i will describe the car how it needs describing i was 20 mins away but some one travelling 100s miles just isnt fair tbh.

Both front wings different shade of white and the drivers not fitted to good dont line up.

Bonnet dont line up either on the side's.

Boot leaking, Seals have gone or the rear passenger window seal is gone as the clips have broke and its hanging off.

Both roof rails loose clips also missing.

Tyres 2 rears the same 2 front different tread pattern and not in a good state.

Wheels as described curbed this is because the pore quality of the tyres tbh.

Arches are not to bad at all slight bubbling as described.

Engine sounds spot on i didnt drive it as i want a good shell for a track car but this needs far to much work for me.

Didn't look in the car as i said the outside wasn't for me.

Hope this help's the seller and buyer's i wanted a clean shell and for some it might still be worth the £4850 asking price.

youd of been happy to buy it though at the right price, come on hardly fair ruining someones sale as you want it cheap like all the other cars you bid on on here, theres a few issues yes ie the wheels which i stated arnt great but needed to fit over brakes but im not having its different colours and dosnt fit properly, your entitled to your opinion and maybe well respected on here but no need to make me out to be pulling the wool over peoples eyes this is a decent car

Sounds like a grumpy old man couldn't get it for peanuts !! Well done for potentially ruining somebody else sale !!

Yes if it was £3500 i would of brought it and got all the body work done.

Im not trying to ruin your'e sale neither and yes i do have a great name on here and many many sites please check my feedback.

Pulling the wool didn't mention that once just feel your'e description was not right and now i have put it right its fair for the people paying out nearly £5000 for a car to know what they are going to look at.

Didn't want the car for peanuts wanted a clean type r for good money this is not that car for me this is all.

When i advertise a car i have 10-15 pictures and the description is broke down,That way if a man comes from Scotland he does not waste 15hrs travel and £200 in expenses,I now have done this for you bar the pic's,I should be thanked tbh.

Sorry you have taken it in a negative way this was not the case. You agreed the wing didn't fit, you seen the wet boot, you seen the loose roof rails and the loose rear window cover, you told me it had been painted what you saying now these don't exist and im saying all this to get it cheap ?

As for all the other cars i bid and buy on here ive had my spec c and my 22b for the past 3 years and have not brought a car of here since then ?Again very strange.

This can be easily cleared up, put some up to date pics up and we can judge for ourselves but bottom line I believe what Fud says as he calls it as he sees it
