Default 97 STI type RA......SOLD.....

SOLD.

Having just MOT'd my RA to find it has covered less than 1600 miles in the last year I've decided it's probably time to move on.
This is just a quick add to see if there is any interest in the car with it's current spec. I suspect that to avoid taking too big a hit I will have to return the car to standard and sell off the parts separately. It's seems a shame to do this as the car is very well sorted and ready to go.

V3 STI Type RA.

44396 miles total (odometer reading 66833, see below).
MOT until March 6th 2014.
Taxed until 31st July 2013.

Imported by SVA in Jan 2010 I am the first UK owner.
Odometer reading was 59436 km (36932 miles).
The car was factory standard when it arrived and can be returned to this state if required (other than the rear exhaust section which was stolen from my front drive).
I wont bore you with the standard STI type RA spec as it's very easy to find with a quick search.

I have since made the following changes:

3 inch heat wrapped de-cat down pipe mated to a TSL 2.5 inch de-res centre section and group N rear box with modified tail pipe.
3 port boost solenoid.
Walbro 255.
Apexi power FC ECU with hand controller.
Exedy pink box clutch and skimmed flywheel.
Whiteline ALK.
Whiteline 22mm rear ARB.
Whiteline rear drop links.
Eibach camber bolts at rear.
Eibach springs.
KYB dampers.
Carbon mirrors.
Front and rear Brembos with braided lines.
Spec C 12L intercooler spray tank.
STI V.7 wheels in gloss black with RE070's.

The car has been custom mapped by FB tuning giving 300bhp (graphs available).
Whilst the clutch was being fitted (FB tuning) the gear linkage was also replaced to remove the slop cause by deteriorated bushes.
The radiator was replaced (with new) due to leakage.
Gearbox and diff oils were changed to Millers CRX 75w90 comp fully synthetic.
A full service, including cam-belt change was carried out by SVA at the time of first import.
The car has only covered 7464 miles in the UK with two oil changes (Motul 300v).
Wheels, tyres, springs and dampers were all fitted less than 1K miles ago and hence are like new.
Only ever run on V power.

The bodywork is very clean and straight given the cars age and has never been modified with the addition of skirts, spoilers etc. I would say that the offside wing and door, and the roof have seen paint, not within my time of ownership. There is no evidence of body damage and the car is rust free bar a couple of minor spots in the boot gutter.
Likewise the interior is clean and has not been altered from standard.

This car took a long time and many wasted journeys to find. If you're looking for a low mileage, mechanically sound car then this is the one for you!
Never been near a track in my ownership and never seen a salted road.
My fifth Subaru (I'll probably be back).

SVA are asking £5000 for one of these fresh off the boat so I'm going to ask £5500 as it stands. I've added over £3k of parts so I think this represents great value.
If someone wants to take the car on the standard wheels and brakes I would accept £4500.

I will add more pictures once I've had a chance to clean her.
Thanks for reading

Original wheels are in the shed Fud
They're just gold five spokes as on a normal STI.

A couple of pics taken during the brake/suspension install. None of the dreaded arch rot.

Spec C water tank on custom mount. Works in full auto and manual modes. Saves constantly filling the tiny standard tank.

Not a current pic but the underside is still this clean.

Currently all the boot linings and carpet are removed. No damage or rust.

I have all the parts ready to be re-fitted if needed.

Had a request for engine bay shots.
I can only find this one, which is before I removed the standard IC spray tank and fitted the silicone hoses.

I'll take something current tomorrow
