MY97 STI white
i cant afford to throw anymore money into getting the current problem im having fixed by someone that knows what they are talking about.
here goes
it has a version 3 bottom end and version 4 cylinder heads
the bottom end i have reciepts from API for a full strip down then new crank bearings, piston rings and seals etc from and the heads were skimmed before put into the car, new cambelt fitted.
the head gaskets that were used are Cometic, .
blitz nur spec type R cat back exhaust system
VF34 ball bearing turbo 3 year old!
17 inch gold BK racing alloys with excellent tread on tyres although the laquer has slightly flaked on rim. 40mm profile.
Ripspeed dvd/cd head unit with 2 controllers
over the past few months i have fitted new K and N panel filtre, spark plugs, radiator, fuel filter and temperature sensor
magnecore HT leads
turbo timer
rear Lexus lights
toad alarm and immobiliser system with 2 keys and 2 fobs
tracker fitted
6 months MOT
3 weeks tax
the car has 83000 (miles) as the dials have been converted
blue Silicone turbo intake pipe
new stainless steal pistons in both front brake calipers then painted red and fitted new brake pads
gearbox and rear dif oil changed just over a year ago,
new genuine subaru clutch fitted 6 years ago, and feels firm with no unsual noises or feel to it, new MAF was fitted at the same time, i have reciept of these down by Alan Jeffery @ Engine Tuner.
the car was off the road for a year as i couldnt afford to get the head gasket done (another story)
obviously there are stone chips, it has surface rust on rear arches, the wheel nuts have surface rust.
small dent at rear of roof
bonnet vents have faded
there is a few spots beneath the rear window inside the boot, can provide pics if required
the intercooler water spray has been taken off by the previous owner,
the gas for the air con has run out so i cut the belt off it
the mileometer occassionly sticks at 60mph but does drop back to normal
it idles at 1500rpm and after a drive it hunts, which is when it throws up code 24, MAF.
but then it will go back to 1500rpm at idle again
ive changed o2, temp, MAF 4 times, cleaned throttle body, TPS twice and ICV 3 times
offers of around £2000+ then you can drive it away before the tax runs out at the end of the month
i live on the isle of wight so bare in mind the ferry prices
if it doesnt sell i may break it but i will be keeping the engine and turbo
PLEASE DO NOT OFFER FOR ANY OF THE PARTS UNTIL THE TAX RUNS OUT!
