Default 303.6BHP DMB MY99 - £3k

SOLD

£3000

ok, so I've owned Impreza's for 10 years now and now I need something they will insure the misses ..

I need something big enough for my family, but that still makes me smile, obviously not like the Impreza, but no standard diesels

The car was bought from a guy on here last year and I have spent quite a bit on it.

Just got it serviced and 12 months MOT costing me £360 ..

I've got all receipts for all work done ..

In the last year:

Splitter added
New radiator
Alarm wires redone (no idea, it cut out and the garage said it was the connection, which they replaces and it's been fine since)
Clutch
MAF

It has quick shift and a bigger turbo.. been remapped (receipts and dyno mappings)

No cats on the car at present, down pipe cat in good condition, supplied with car.

Bad points ?

Car is getting on, the odd stone chip and small scratch, no damage, no rust, no cracks (that I know of)

Wheels are in pretty good shape, very slight curbing.

4 tyres are legal, back two, one has a chip in the tyre wall, the other is worn down on the rim, (was on the front) but both passed MOT.

Full specialised service history, run everyday to and from work, (20 miles) let me down once when radiator split, this was replaced with new.

The car is very quick and sounds awesome, I've not left anything and have spent more money than I have on it. Its always run on Shell (as it was mapped to Shell) and its always warmed up and cooled down.

It has a Turbo timer and a boost gauge and a Snooper, which isn't very good to be honest, the speak was broken and even with the make shift one I added, it detects things that aren't there.

Welcome to come and see it, you wont drive it unless you can prove to me you are insured but I'll happily take you out.

It all comes down the person looking to swap really .. I would say my car is worth 3 - 3.5 .. but the market might disagree ..

Nice car..

what proof of insurance do you need for a test drive?

As i would not buy a car unless i have driven it as i am sure may others would not either..

I'd imagine it'd be proof that you are insured to drive other peoples cars with there permission (while they have insurance) with the owners permission. usually its for people over 25 with fully comprehensive insurance.

pimmo, is the car still available?

so are you suggesting I just let anyone drive and crash my car ? The last person I sold a car to had traders insurance ..

3rd party is no good to me, I'll drive it round with you all day long, but I'm not risking letting someone else drive it.. even if it means I never sell it.

It is, but I can't just sell it and although I appreciate the messages, I can't be without a car

The problem is fella, you are only appealing to a very small market, i.e. those that have a quick diesel.
And to be honest, those people who have already converted to a quick diesel are very unlikely to want to swap back.
Is there no way you could get a 0% money transfer from a credit card to buy a new car and then pay it off when you sell the scoob?

I wouldn't & haven't let peeps drive any of my cars for sale, all sold with no problems. Can you imagine some f*ckwit ragging your car down a country lane, crashing it then just walking away as they would not be insured (is anyone for a strangers car?) ...

TX.

If they have fully comp insurance and are over 25, then normally yes but only 3rd party and with the owners permission.
So, if they crash your car, the car itself is not covered.

So if I've had 4 scoobies and 26 cars inc many other high performance cars and didn't have more than 3rd party insurance...you lot wouldn't let me yet drive the car? lol your loss I'm afraid.

If I'm buying a performance car off someone you can guarantee I'll be giving it some on the test drive to see if there's any problems! Insurance or not, Plus as most people advertise the fact they have high BHP ill know in one blast if its exagerated. . Sold all of my cars without ever asking for proof of insurance. If they take the **** driving I'll just tell them!

Quite simple, if somebody wants to test drive it with 3rd party only insurance, you ask to hold the asking price in cash while they take it out on a 'you bend it you buy it' policy. Admittedly I've never sold anything this pricey but if somebody is seriously considering buying your motor, showing up with the cash is the least they should be doing and a test drive is the last test you'd do before handing over the money.

So if they prang it, you keep the dosh and consider it a done deal

What's the current mileage? When was the cam belt last done? Has it got full history? And body work issues? I.e. rear arches?
How much are you looking for?
