Cheers mate. I thought so too. I have just spent £2500 on the 6 speed box.
Had it up for £6500 originally and had someone offer me £5700(the next day, over the phone) which i thought was too low so told him i couldn`t let it go for that price.

Other than that the only other person interested so far was my best mate, who was trying to sell his track prepared Prelude and wanted this. After discussing the running costs of the Scoob he has decided that he will be better off with his Prelude. Personally i would rather not see him driving about in it anyway.

I guess times are hard.

That`s exactly what i thought when i bought it. After my first quote of £600 to spray the door handles, original mirrors(so i could remove the carbon fiber ones) and skirts i decided to give it a miss. As it happens, it has grown on me. The bonnet just has a reverse scoop as it no longer has the top mount. I have the original scoop.

Cheers for the comments guys.

Sorry for the long delay since last being on, but is there any documentation of the engine build? Thanks, Rob

Hi Stuart, the only info the link regarding the engine is -2.5 built by enginetuner in 2007 & RCM oil pump. there is no mention of the actual build break down by Alan, ie pistons, rods, bearings, crank etc etc. Thanks, Rob

Come on Stuart, hand the info over

Its too far for me to come not knowing the full extent, plus I may not even be able to stretch to the cost, but its always good to know what im looking at thoroughly

Is it a forged engine? If yes then it can handle more boost & power, seeing as the 6 speed is there already

Nice car & spec

TX.

Hi guys. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The engine does not have forged pistons. It is a 2.5 lump with standard internals. For more info please feel free to contact Engine Tuner on 01424 200477. The car used to belong to a guy called Tony Heale. Engine tuner know him and the car very well.

I can take a photo of the invoice from Enginetuner if that helps?

That phone number is a Hastings STD code, not a enginetuner number

Good spot Rob. Got that number off my phone(strange thing is that i spoke to them when buying the car just over a year ago??).

Just checked the website and it says the number is 01752 345880 so i stand corrected.

Don`t believe it hasn`t sold yet. If it doesn`t go within the next couple of weeks then i will bite the bullet and keep it till summer next year.
