V4 STi Type R - WR Blue
After nearly 4 years of ownership and countless changes made to the car over the years, I've decided it's time to sell up and move on to something new.
The car has 97k on the clock but had a new STi engine fitted from Japan by AWD in 2006 (30k ago). Gearbox was replaced at the beginning of the year and has been spot on since.
The car is only run on the finest fluids (Millers CFS 10w60, Millers 75w90 & V-Power). Engine oil and filter changed every 2k in my ownership - maybe overkill but its not a big expense to keep it running sweet.
I've spent countless amounts on the car over the years to get it where I want it and it's always had the best of parts - since June I've done the following work for peace of mind more than anything:
Timing belt kit
Radiator
All fluids replaced
Plugs
Magnecor Leads
Also recently had the front end painted due to a cracked front bumper which was replaced with a V6 front end cut for a FMIC.
Current mods are:
18" Speedline Turinis
3" Blitz NUR Spec
DBA front discs
Apexi springs
White line bits and bobs
V8 STi steering wheel
Smiths Gauges
Prodrive Rear Wing
STi Mudflaps
Jap Tints
The car goes extremely well - Brian Downie has commented on this for what is essentially a standard car. It's been in the country since new and I suspect the ecu has been tweaked for uk fuel and it also peaks at 1.5 bar settling to 1.2 but everythingnis safe with regards to fueling etc.
Bad bits - bubbling on the rear arches, takes a couple of cranks to fire sometimes but had checked out countless times since I've had it with no luck. Never fails to start tho. Just needs big power to take it to the next level but I'm not the man to do it.
Some pics are with the 18" Compomotive MO's which are available separately or will go back on the car if the Speedlines sell.
Price is £5850 ono

Nice car fella.
Just one thing:
The standard V4 ecu cannot be tweaked. You can only remap it with a brand new ecu, so I would lift up the carpet and check what you have fitted. You never know, you might have a gems fitted which is worth 2k!

It is a standard ecu - it was one of the things I replaced when trying to sort out the starting issues. Always wondered if Subaru UK did anything to it when it was imported from new as it pulls strong and the fuelling is spot on.
I'm told you can now map the V3/4 ecu's at long last - had a chat with Brian Downie about it a couple of months back.
Cheers for the pointer tho.
