SUBARU HAWKEYE TYPE 20 2.0ltr JDM STi
December 2005 JDM Litchfield Type 20 350bhp/350lbs
The Car is due to go in for Part exchange mid July with my new car ordered get at the PX price ...... a bargain IMHO
VERY SORRY BUT THIS IS NOW SOLD
These picture were taken today 18th June
Pioneer Sat nav with 6 cd changer included.
a scuff below hazard switch by sat nav screen
Some details
This Car HAS been on the Track but it has been Serviced regardless of cost.
I do drive it quickly and as a result goes exceptionally well compared to some other type 20's I've tried. A recent compression pressure check on all cylinders really suprised Iain Litcho, he said they were best he'd seen regardless of the milliage. Pootling about in these Performance engines is not the best way to treat them IMHO.
You can drive it as hard as you like, Any Test, this is not like some 2.5ltr 7,000rpm UK cars which Subaru UK De-tune to 6,500rpm to prevent "Ring Land failure" and head Gasket issues.... You WILL be impressed.
OK no engine is bullet proof but the JDM 2.0ltr unless you ABUSE the engine, it should last another 5 years without a rebuild, it's strong as an OX it's NOT a UK Hawkeye 2.5ltr. The STD UK 2.5ltrs struggle to get over 370bhp reliably but loads of JDM's are running 400 to 500bhp on the standard internals no problems. Say no more and hence they are the engines of Choice

2 owners from new, I have owned it since March 2006 @ 1200 miles ish, Always used on Optimax or SUL if none available. This car is remapped to run on 97 octane fuel but will run on 95 octane "to get you to home" as long as you dont boot it, cheap fuel normally means an early death of a Scoob
It has had one very minor bump on front bumper, me being a Blind git caught a stupid carpark low post. As you can see the damage was not that great and the bumper has now been repainted. Please dont comment on my bug cleaning skills this was taken after a 200 mile journey back home
The bonnet stone chips were very noticable after the bumper was re-sprayed. So bonnet has also been resprayed now and looks like new
Full service history well above what is required. listed below is the service records I have. There other Oil changes done in-between but done as cash jobs
1000m first owner
2,561m 5k service
3,044m Oil Change
6,255m 10k service (12 months)
8,192m 5k service
11,762m oil change
13,301m 10k service
15,215m 5k service
18,074m Oil change
19,368m 30k service
20,676m Oil change
21,925m 5k service
23,019m Oil change
24,985m 10k (48 months)service
25,801m Oil change new clutch and flywheel
27,158m 5k service, new LM400 turbo & AST overhaul
29,137m 50k (60months)service Cambelt, New Downpipe and exhaust manifold gasket
32,657 LM400 Turbo removed 5K service
For a car of this age and milliage its in not in bad nick but being critical it could realy do with a new set of Car mats and Muldflaps

with one slight door ding mostly stone chips and small marks etc that are not so noticible with a coloured polish
Everyones expectations are quite different, what I think is Great you might think it's **** and vice versa. I don't do "Colour n Shine comps" and it's certainly not concourse standard.
MOT December Taxed IIRC
TAX April 2012 (£260 a year)
Tony
Thanks for the Prompt
Pictures up soon ish

I've seen this car in the flesh and I can assure anyone thinking of buying it that this car is in very good condition.
As for the 'issue' that this car has been tracked; who can say that they haven't given their Impreza 'the beans'. It makes me laugh when I read statements like 'never raced', why would you buy a performance car and drive it like a nun?
A cracking car owned by a really nice guy.

out of the colours personally not normally a fan of red cars but there was something about it made it stand out and i liked it. not sure what it is like in the flesh but black, blue, sliver and white are what you always see, red on the other hand would be different, some dark grey alloys and it could really stand out of the crowd. just depends on the resale value and how many people would consider red but guess it depends on how long you want to keep it for.
if you don't mind me asking what deal did you get, pm me if you would rather.
what did make me laugh was the offer for the cosworth impreza, now available via PCP lol cant even give them away. what got me was after 3 years of £750 a month they will only secure you a 20k trade in value, might just be me but a 30k drop on a limited edition run that you supposedly cant get your hands on and is the best impreza ever, laughable as in 3 years time a 15 year old 22b will still be worth more then the cosworth.
any how back on topic,
btt for a well respected member and a well cared for car
best of luck with the sale and the new car purchase.........get RED you know it makes sense

yes i will as it goes so well the new one isn't as quick but this will now be my shopping car
Wife wasn't sure about the red
Well tossed a coin today and Red won (so i'm happy
So deposit is now down on a 320R San remo Red, ASt suspension and front lip spoiler.
Like most dealers I could a much better bargaining posistion with straight cash deal. I got the normal FOC extras like STi mats, gap insurance, petrol etc and some cleaning stuff. I did Ok and battled over the PX price but he was now going to have to sell his liver to fund all the extra's and PX value. feeling sorry for him I've probably paid for the FOC stuff
My wife says i'm totally **** at bartering abroad, normally end up paying more rather than less I Shoud have got her to do it, she'd have had all his organs aswell
But to be honest i'm completely happy with the deal that was done So I'm not really going to say if you don't mind. I never get upset on Holiday if someone got their Holiday cheaper.
"if" you went to Cross Roads and saw Elliot I'm certain you'd get a far better deal than me.

New pics put up on Top Post
I don't usaully drive excessively fast on UK roads and NO-ONE buys a performance car to drive slowly So I get my buzz in a safe place on the track
Unlike cars that have "Never been on track" but has been ragged to death and never treated with respect. I have always alway changed oil before of after (dependant on Oils age) a trackday . Hence average Oil age is under 1,500 miles.
The car is always warmed up and cooled down, always run on Optimax or SUL and driven quickly on track. My T20 has done far less track miles than my UK Bugeye did in 3 years.
I've work it out a roughly at 30 miles at each session on events like Trax/japfest/rallyday/time attack/ ARDs training and about 150miles on open pit lane events
2006 = 210m
2007= 120m
2008 = 60m
2009 = 270m
2010 = 300m
2011 = 210m
so approx 1150 miles total
