I've had the car 2 years and I've only done 10k in over 2 years of ownership and before this it was owned by an LPG station where it was dry stored unused hence the condition and low mileage.
Obviously I cannot say anything re mileage for when it was in japan yet I do have every mot from where it entered the uk

somethings telling me i should never of bought a car that doesnt hold its value.
I bought an old series 1 rs turbo custom for 7k and sold it for 10k on a 1985 c reg. A car that holds its value and increases year on year.
Im shocked how these cars are worthless year on year.
It was very near its reserve oh well lol now what Trade in?

Aplogies for being frank...
I think there are a number of reasons why your eBay auction didn't work
Depressed market for a start off. Next, it's a JDM and unless you've owned one, especially a re-mapped 370BHP one you just don't realise what they're all about, and how much different they feel to a UK STi. So, you have to find someone who knows about an unusual scooby.
I bought mine not knowing what it really was. My main attraction was the twin scroll turbo. The car was advertised on here. I sold the car to someone who I knew, and had owned a classic for some time.
I don't see how you can hope to sell a car like this on an Ebay auction. However, having said that I bought my present classic wagon off eBay. I saw the listing, went around and did the deal. I don't know how you were working your auction...?
Other thing which would put me off as a buyer is the LPG conversion. I don't understand how the conversion works, or anything about it, so this would deter me. I like keeping things simple and would think about when it's time to sell the car on and potential buyers al;so not knowing what the conversion is
I would say bide your time, leave it up on here, and PH's and wait 'till the right buyer comes along.

This is one of my fav cars on SN. Good luck.
On the plus side there's lots of shows coming up like Japfest next month. I know a couple of people sold their cars for good prices there.
Do you have the original steering wheel? Not criticising but its the only thing that puts me off the car.

With my own experience of owning several Impreza's, I would certainly say the steering wheel is a big factor in stopping this car from selling, and not the LPG as some have said.
There is a very specific reason for this......in Subaru Land, it is commonly presumed (and been proven many times) that a car has been accident repaired if the steering wheel is not original, because the original steering wheels have absolutely nothing 'wrong' or anything 'missing' with them, so why change them? A modification is adding something to a car which is supposedly BETTER than the oem item, yes?
Thats why you see so many Impreza's at a very unpopular North of England trader/dealer with most of their cars having a steering wheel which is aftermarket, and actually not as good as the original one.
Just a few of my thoughts.
