Default MY2000 UK Turbo

Hello all, my mates decided he wants to sell his scooby as he's got his eye on a new Octavia VRs to replace it with, car really does want for nothing and is a very good example.

Details are

95k miles
5 months tax
2 months mot
dealer service history to 70 k
loads of receipts for scooby specialists etc thereafter for remaining service history
previous MOT's
6 owners
Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser with certificate and also has a tracker fitted with certificate, the tracker will need the membership renewing before you can use it.

Spec is

Completely standard UK Turbo 2000 barr a Blitz nur spec exhaust with bung (with receipt)
Pipercross replacement panel filter (with receipt)
Alpine head unit (dogs danglies unit)

The car has had a new clutch, radiator, lambda sensor and MAF sensor recently (with receipts) and a full service including new plug leads and 4 brand new firestone tyres less than a month ago, it runs absolutely faultlessly and has no mechanical faults whatsoever, there's no knocks, bangs, whines etc etc and really is a descent example of this model.

The only faults with the bodywork is a slight ripple in the drivers door but is not noticable unless you look for it and there's a MY97-98 grill fitted instead of the correct MY99-00 grill other than this the bodywork is mint too.

The wheels have recently been painted by myself in black pearl metallic and look mint.

Price is £2500 as it is or £2600 with 12 months MOT on it.

Viewing can be arranged any time by calling my mate louis on 07842 491 788, he'll be able to answer any questions you may have relating to the car, just phone him after 6pm as he's at work during the day.

Cheers

Hi Gaz

Thanks for the emails.
I am interested in the motor, but there does seem to be some confusion over the front grill.
Can anyone confirm if the grill fitted on this car is correct for the year?
In my eyes it looks like a my97/98 grille, not my99/2000.

Not trying to cause issues Gaz as I am interested in the car, but I would like to clear this up so we can move foward. Like I said, I am in Kent, so not just around the corner.

ok so we've established the grill is wrong, i'll update the thread to state this as a fault
Either way the correct one for the car can be had for cheap enough from someone breaking one on here.

The car is still a good example for the money being asked and any inspection is welcomed, just contact me via pm or phone louis to arrange.

and it could of been changed due to previous owner preferring the look of the old one, or due to stone chips, cracked paint etc etc. This car has no accident damage at all.

If you aren't interested in buying the please **** off.

Any inspection and HPI check is welcomed, this car is 110% and whoever buys it will be more than happy with it.

lol you plonker, like your response was any more intelligent than mine.

If you're not interested in the car and it's in your eyes dodgy then stop posting in this for sale thread as it no longer concerns you.

Just to clarify, there is a 97-98 front grill fitted to this car, rather than the 99-00 model as should be fitted, i have no idea why as it was on the car when my mate got it.

I can however confirm there is no sign of any accident damage on the car and any inspection will confirm this and is welcomed.

I'm not here to sell a dodgy motor to anyone, i too am an enthusiast and have been working with cars for over 12 years, i have never ripped anyone off before and dont intend to start now.

Can any non genuinely interested parties please leave the thread alone now.

That's all I wanted to hear rather than, 'no, you're wrong, the grill is correct and it has never been in an accident!' That message you sent me really did wind me up, especially when you used examples of cars my99/00 that had the correct grill!

How you would know for sure that it hasn't been in accident when it has had 6 owners, baffles me!

Surely you can understand why I would ask such a question?
Anyways, I am interested in the car and I am just asking the questions before I make the trip of over 170 miles each way to view the car. Will be in touch.

i did say to you in my pm's that if it is the wrong grill then i didn't know why the older grill has been fitted and it wound me up when you straight away assumed it had been in a bump. This is why my pm came across as harsh.

I've written everything me or my mate know about the car in the thread. I'm not trying to hide any nasty secrets about the car, what i know is what you lot now know from reading the description, it's been a very good car for my mate and will be for whoever buys it.

either way you have a pm.
