Impreza Type R V5 1999
For sale is My 1999 Subaru Impreza Type-R V5. I imported the car through JM Imports in March 2014. The car has currently done 102,200 which is a mixture of Miles and KM. Upon entry to the UK it had done around 96K KM. During the UK prep, I also had the car undersealed by JM-Imports.
The car has had a recent Mot which it passed with no advisories.
Since the car came in to UK it has a full service history from Subaru and Japanese specialists, there is also some service history from Japan. I had the timing belt and tensioners replaced in March 2015 with the clock reading 99,113, the water pump was also replaced at the same time. The gear change is a little bit sloppy which is a common fault with these cars where one of the bushes in the gear linkage has worn.
Exterior
The body work is in good condition, it has a few age-related marks and there is also a very small rust spot on the roof from a stone chip. Both wing mirror bases are suffering from a bit of flaking paint. It has gold painted wheels fitted to the car with Vredeistein Xtreme wintrac tyres (205/50/16) fitted currently.
Interior
The interior benefits from a pair of black Recaro speed seats with white stitching and custom subframes. The car also has a set of Defi gauges fitted to the car (Boost, oil pressure and water temperature) One of the gauges is a BF series that lights up white and the other 2 are white faced that light up green. I have also fitted new tailored STI mats which were purchased from flash mats. I have also fitted and aluminium and leather STI gear **** to the car. I also fitted new leather handbrake and gear gaiters. I have also fitted a double dine pioneer headunit with ipod control.
Engine
The engine is in very good condition and pulls very strongly with no strange noises or rattles. Doesn’t smoke and uses very little oil. I have fitted a genuine HKS SSQV blow off valve and the car as an aftermarket exhaust (Believed to be a Fujitsubo exhaust). I have also fitted a HKS radiator cap and titanium STI oil cap. There is also an ARC titanium strut brace fitted to the car.
