Default 2005 (54) Impreza wrx STI Widetrack JDM

HI All

This is more of a "whats it worth thread"
Now i know people may get sick of these but a car is only worth what someone will pay no matter what the internet says its valued at. so research will only get you part of the way.
The prices of impreza's seem to vary so much now now.

I have a 2005 (54 reg) Impreza wrx sti widetrack JDM.
So has the updated interior (steering wheel and centre console)
has DCCD auto/manual and the water spray. Also the wider 8" 5x114.3 wheels (they need a refurb but i will get to that before it sells (have a spare set aswell).

I am considering selling it as not really using it and need something for doing long journeys in (more economical).

Anyway what is it worth?????

It is standard apart from coilovers, spec c exhaust, and air filter.
Does not have any history" Apart from" the ones it would of had in Japan, as it still has the stickers on drivers side of console when you open the door.

I have the original import papers aswell.

So what i am after is a ball pack figure of what others would expect to pay. I have seen various adverts with older UK cars up for 11-12k which i find ridiculous but like i said its only worth what someone will pay.

So if anyone would like to contribute please feel free as long as your not trolling.

Thanks in advance.

its the sort of car i've spent months looking for so can give you a good idea.
any bad points to mention?
it looks very nice and with a headlight restoration pretty well looked after.
9k would probably see it gone

Considering the mileage of your car and lack of history, I'd say £8-8.5k, depending on condition of paintwork, brakes, tyres, etc.

To the OP - what was the Import Grade?

Think it came in as a grade 4 but will have to check the paper work again. It's only been in the country just over 2 years.

And as for service history , this has never bothered me.
i know some people bang on about history but it's not 100% proof that the cars been looked after. I spend the money on the oil and parts as apposed to paying someone to do it.
The original service stickers are there when you open the driver's door. Not all of them but a several.

There is a few odds n sods to sort out like wheels need refubing . I do have a spare set which are almost immaculate but they are grey and I prefer the gold, so will get them sorted.
and there is a few stone chips in the bonnet which could do with sorting.

But thanks for your input guys, just wanted to know where I stand on pricing.

On that note if anyone is interested drop me a pm.
I guess I will be putting a proper advert up in the coming weeks.

Just looking through original import papers.
came into country October -2015 as a Grade 4.
Had a few "A1" body work marks. (A1 =very light scratch). And the windscreen was replaced for whatever reason. (Maybe too many chips in driver's line of sight).

When I sell a car I just look at the prices of everything else that's out there similar milage etc and pitch it in under and make it the best deal out there, that's if you want it gone... or just at the lower end if you don't mind waiting a while...

Personally when I want to sell something I like it to be gone as quickly as possible... don't want it hanging around for the sake of a couple of hundred quid... also only a small amount of SERIOUS buyers out there so I want to get the one that's not going to mess me about.

Sold mine on ebay as an auction few months back... gone in 3 days for good money, I was happy and more to the point... not tyre kickers / *** heads to deal with, went with no fuss or hassle.

They don't look clear in the pic (though could be the picture). You can clean them up to be as clear as new. to me it makes the whole car look so much nicer

This JDM Blob has a very similar mileage to yours and is fairly standard - only mods are backbox and Type RA wheels. Been up for sale for months at £8799. Gives you some idea as to the value of your car.

Some of the dealers, eg. Hurst, advertise 13-year-old Blobs with 80-90k miles for £12k, but like you said above, this is ridiculous money.
