Default STI Type RA-R 67k white 2006 Hawkeye

Recently arrived from Japan. Also had a few pm's wanting pictures of the under-body so included them for those who requested. Have many more pictures please pm.

Had a trip up to Roger Clark Motorsport recently to have the car put on the dyno. Produced a healthy 330bhp with 325ft lb torque (pictures attatched).

Cambelt kit replaced a few weeks back along with a service using castrol 10 60 oil and a genuine Subaru filter. Comes with the service history from Japan along with the RA-R certificate. It has also had a health check/map check by Richard at Zen Performance who confirmed the car was running well. I have personally driven many different Impreza's, sti's, spec c's, ra's etc and i can hand on heart say this drives and feels the best of the bunch. In short it really does live up to it's name from the gearing, the feel on the suspension, the direct feel of the steering and the power delivery down to the braking, it's a complete package car.

RA-R Standard Specification:

Ignore the t**ts.
If the car is good and at the right price, it will sell

IMO this section should be for private sellers only - there's a separate classifieds section for traders.

And TBH I expect anyone in the market for one of these will be aware of the car already.

Yes thanks Stu and Anger. Is this Anger who built the 2.35 in white? That was a tough car you had built, real head turner.

Yes i appreciate what your saying about trade versus private sale section. The thread would have been used more as a "look what we have just bought" and share it with members on here as opposed to a "here we got this and buy it" thread. We spend £1,000's on advertising so we wouldn't normally advertise here but because it was such a rare car, i thought of maybe sharing it. Thanks.

Maybe stick it on the members gallery section....?7

Have to admit seeing a few white hawkeye Sti's recently makes me want to trade my Type-R for one..

IMO Max that is perfectly reasonable Max as long as it is clear that it's a trader posting, for example posting via their trade names to avoid any possible confusion with private owners. Advertising is advertising after all and we should not blur the lines.

I have no fundamental objection to traders on this forum and in most instances they add value to the community with the knowledge they offer. (There are one or two that I think take it too far with their hard-sell, but they are in the minority.) However I do also think that it's essential that people recognise a commercial post, and that it's also in your interest to disclose as such without any ambiguity as otherwise people might think you're trying to pull a fast one even though there is no such intention.

They have to be the same car, the engine bays are identical even down to the dirt patterns!

Lovely, lovely car though!

Proper car, future classic for the price of a b grade escort cosworth, you get a rust free solid car with bullet proof running gear I know what I would buy with my 26k. GLWTS.

PS the more we bring to the UK the better.

Just waiting for the IVA test to be carried out at the minute, prep for that was a job on it's own. Looking forward to getting to work on it once the IVA is done.

Thanks for all the positive comments. I'm pretty sure based on all the cars our guy has sent us so far this will be a good one with genuine mileage

Sorry to go off topic a minute but what is involved in the IVA and is it a lot more stricter than say an MOT..? Is it just a case of returning the car to stock form if modified..?

Pm if you prefer

Cheers

IVA is pretty much that in a nutshell, restoring the car back to standard or factory spec. There is a few more restrictions with more limited edition models.

Not surprised you miss it, it was a well built car, spec, looks, power, reliability, had the whole package. Kas put a screamer pipe on it, sounded insane. Did not use a drop of oil or water. Your welcome to get in touch if i can help put you into something that suits your bill, i will.

67k is not really high mileage for a 9 year old car IMO. I'd say its below average. No doubt if it was 30k/40k the price would be a fair bit higher.

Buy it then mate
I'm thinking about buying it so 26k is a lot of money for 67k if its not immaculate
Hence wh6 I asked

I'm not looking to buy this but was just mentioning IMO its not high mileage regardless of the price of the car.

Not sure how you'd expect a 9 year old car done 67000 Miles to be immaculate..! To me immaculate is a car that is in 'as new' condition which you would not get on a 67k 9 year old motor. If a car has been painted up to 'look like new' would you consider that immaculate as I would prefer an honest car showing age related marks than a car with loads of re-spray work especially if not done right..!

Realistically you would expect stone chips / wear and tare etc as you state its done 67k,

Everyones' idea of immaculate is different and often the word is over used by sellers of cars.

Sorry OP for the hijack.

Raf
