Default Good spec Classic / Type R *WANTED*

Back in the market for a Good spec Classic / Type R

Cash waiting and willing to travel a fair distance for the right car

Can't see a lot out there at the moment, so just posting this hoping to sway someone to potentially sell something they're in 2 minds about.

Thanks

Rang up one in Ireland yesterday....

ME: "What history have you got?"

Seller: "No history, that can be made up simply enough"

Yes it was. Would rather pay the extra for one with history.

Another one today that didn't have the cambelt. That current owner trusted the person before it was done. Why do people skimp on such a nice motor.

Also looks like its potentially been clocked.

Don't make me get an evo

I went to see a STi saloon (on autotrader for £3.5k), it had 0 history and the rear arches were badly rusted. he didn't want to come down much in price, it was priced to sell according to him.

When I asked the owner about the history, his reply was if he hasn't been servicing it, it would have blown up by now.

- When was the cambelt done?
- It's been a while...

I think importing one would be quite stressful not knowing what your getting as you don't test drive it.

If it's the silver one I don't like that it's been run at 1.8bar boost with no mention of a rebuild or 6 speed.

Hello mate. Are you still looking. I have a white type r with quite a few modifications I would be willing to part with for the right money. The only reason I am considering selling is I have no time to use it and enjoy it any more and it seems a waste keeping it sat there to use only once a week or so. PM me if you want further details

That one at Newera has been sitting for sale for years, will need allot of money spent to re commission. Not sure why it hasn't sold since they have such a good rep in selling top quality cars ??
