Cool 1995 Impreza STi Version 2 Type-RA

Here is your chance to own a very rare Limited Edition model Subaru: 1995 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Version 2 Type-RA

This car wants for nothing, has a folder full of receipts & invoices, every owner has been an ScoobyNet member. Majority work carried out by ScoobyNet member: Richard Etheridge & im pretty sure he can come here & vouch on this car his username is: RESSE & also Etheridge-Bird. Anyone who has seen the car also can vouch for its condition and even more so in my ownership as I have spent a lot of time, effort and money on it.

Spec & History of the STi RA:

1995 (52 reg)
Feather White (Colour Code: 230)
Current Mileage: 54,100 miles (only driven on weekends) so mileage will creep ever so slightly

Taxed 31/03/2015
Only 3 former keepers (all from ScoobyNet including myself of course)

Good points:

An almost standard Version STi Type RA to retain its value & in amazing condition for a 20 year old car to be (must be seen to appreciate)
Drives superbly with no knocks or bangs or smoke etc
It has a folder full of receipts & invoices
very well cared for - interior & exterior is in immaculate condition for age of car
No rusts at all - No rusts on rear arches neither

Bad points:

Just to point out that it is in excellent condition but NOT in showroom concourse condition. you will get the odd minute mark or blemish so if being very very picky, Front bumper could do with a repaint as it has some stone chips and small area of dis-colouration which is expected given the age, but none the less it hasn't bothered me in my ownership at all (But i will let the potential buyer decide on that when coming to view etc) Bodywork is in very good condition.

The defi oil temperature gauge does not work, well to be honest it has never worked since I purchased the car or even when it has been in the ownership of Richard. The gauge lights up, but it is not reading the temperature. Never looked into this - could be something very minute like a sender unit etc The Defi Oil pressure and boost gauges working perfectly and I have the original Defi installation and instruction manuals.

This model is one of the closest experience you will ever get from subaru factory being a road going rally car main factor being the lightest ever production model by Subaru & its Rally bred features it consists.

This Subaru will be sadly missed & I would personally like this vehicle to be purchased by an ScoobyNet enthusiast member who will continue to appreciate this car & the model of this particular subaru. I would like to clearly state that i'm in no rush to sell - so please no timewasters, tyre-kickers or dreamers. Test drive will only be done by myself unless you show me sufficient funds & your valid insurance that you can drive this car etc

*More pictures can be sent upon request (forward me your email address via PM)

**I have tried my best to do a detailed advert as possible for the potential buyer BUT i may have missed something out - if i have please don't hesitate to get in touch & i will do my utmost best to respond promptly

It's not often you'll see me vouch for someone, but I've met Gaf and his car and we've kept in touch a bit. And what I will say is If I was looking to buy a car from someone it would be someone like Gaf. Absolutely spot on bloke I think his advert reflects the fact that he's serious with the details and pictures. I also know the people who look after this car and know it will want for knotting and the standard of work it's recieved is spot on.
Someone will be getting a great example of an Ra here.
Good luck with the sale mate.

i also vouch for this car, I went to view it a couple of weeks ago, its an awesome car and drives spot on,pulls very well and is like new inside. it was was a hard decision not to buy it if im honest, the few cosmetic bits were the only reason I turned it down. yes I know I could of got them done before anyone says so don't bother.

back to the car, its as described and Gafar is a sound bloke..the history and folder that comes with it are spot on.

some one will get a great RA at a very low price in my eyes
good luck mate

Guys I owned this before GAF and it's a great car. Drives very smoothly, makes a great noise and is in pretty good condition (near amazing condition) for a used car! Good choice on using my pics, was just after a clay bar and polish!

And there's my just about to message you asking you to tell me when you sell the Scooby. I want her back, my r32 gtr isn't cutting it :/

Hi 'Godspeed brakes' & 'ScoobP1'

Yes it's absolutely Legal

The car is on a 52 plate due to an error at DVLA Nottingham.

When the initial owner purchased the car it came from Isle of Guernsey and DVLA decided to allocate a 52 reg number on the day is was registered for the mainland UK

Cheers GAF

Really fancy an old RA,

I'm not sure what is meant by the closed deck engine with a 5th injector if anyone could explain?

Many thanks,

Tom.

Based near bridgend, South Wales, have not long got rid of a blob STI which I never gelled with, glad to be back in a classic and this is my first v2 after having a v4 sti and many years ago a uk2000.
Will post some pics in the members gallery when I get chance with details of future plans, nothing major, just subtle upgrades.
