Default SUBARU IMPREZA (STI) TYPE UK 2007 46k Miles

SUBARU IMPREZA STI (UK) LIMITED

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1815348307...84.m1554.l2649

It is with a heavy heart I have decided to sell my immaculate Hawkeye Impreza. Following much scare-mongering surrounding the dreaded Head Gasket Failure of the EJ257, I decided to install a strengthened Cosworth Engine into the vehicle. The garage installing the engine did not complete the installation correctly and the engine subsequently suffered a loss of oil pressure and was damaged beyond repair. The matter was concluded via an Insurance claim and the car is now categorised as a CAT D. Please note there has been no structural or cosmetic damage to the car. As such the car will now require an engine, something that could be achieved for as little as £1500.

VEHICLE DETAILS
  • 2007 MY (Hawkeye)
  • Low Mileage - 46003 Miles
  • Urban Grey

Difference to standard UK STI
  • Limited Edition of just 25
  • A-Line Lip Spoiler to Rear
  • Black Brembo callipers all round
  • Full Leather interior with dark carpet set
  • Silver Enkei Alloys

CHASSIS
  • Pagid RS4-2-1 (Black) Front and Rear
  • 4 Wheel Alignment
  • Whiteline Anti-Roll Bars Front & Rear
  • Whiteline Bushes
  • AST Adjustable Coilovers

PERFORMANCE
  • Full Miltek 3" exhaust with 100 cell Cat

INTERIOR
  • Pro-Tec Gauges (Oil Temperature / Oil Pressure / Turbo Boost)
  • Kenwood DNX7200 - Double Din with Navigation, iPod Integration, Phone Integration
  • Thatcham Catagory 1 Alarm

The car has wanted for nothing and has been used as a daily driver and family vehicle without letting me down at any stage. The appearance is hugely understated by comparison to the standard STI and hides an incredible performance bargain, yet able to achieve 30+mpg.

As a keen Detailer I have always kept the car in immaculate condition. The attached thread should give an idea of the meticulous care and attention that was always placed with the car; it really is a cherished example in exemplary condition.

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=204522

The car is going on eBay from Thursday but would welcome offers at this stage should anyone be interested.

The car is available for inspection in South Wales (by prior appointment). Should you have any questions please feel free to call me on 07968 242386

Please note the private plate is not on the car.

Think you still need price? Also I don't understand what this car is, it refers to being a UK one but in the description you put 'difference to standard UK Sti' does it not have a name or a reference?

Is this being sold as in the pictures on this advert, or is the engine in a box in the boot ?

As already mentioned, not a lot going for it, cat d & no engine, breaking fodder.

Hi all. The car is not a Spec D. It is a limited edition of 25 that were officially imported into the UK by Subaru. It was known as an STI Limited. I know from previous threads that this does cause a lot of confusion.

As for the car. It doesn't come with an engine and whoever buys it will need to supply and fit a new one.

As for cost, it's going on eBay from Thursday but I would consider offers around £5k.

Limited edition of 25??? Have you got paperwork etc or anyway of proving that its a limited edition of only 25 cars??

Looks like a Spec D, as it shares the same crystal grey colour same leather interior, No big spoiler, UK car, no fog covers, im guessing the upgraded stereo and speakers with touchscreen sat-nav, and silver alloys and everything that a Spec D(300 made) has!!!

The STi A-Line is a real thing, when I bought my spec.D I got offered an STi A-Line just after I'd completed on the spec.D deal... which was a shame because I'd have preferred a black A-Line in all honesty.

Good luck with the sale at 5k mate.

Cheers,
Grant

Saw something that was like this at Lichfields years ago but it was a STi A line but it had the 2 litre twin scroll, and was basically a JDM car that was debadged, lip spoiler on the boot etc!!!

Is this a limited edition for the Malta/Cypriot market???

Hmm, you could be right regarding the model name.. but I am certain that these cars are genuine Subaru UK supplied models and IIRC the only visual differences to the spec.D was the choice of Urban Grey/Black rather than Crystal Grey only, the lip spoiler and black brembos, both of which I prefer to the WRX spoiler/gold brembos which came on the spec.D that I bought.

They were definitely powered by the 2.5 UK STi running gear rather than the 2.0 JDM engine... so can only assume they were parallel imports from EU/Malta/Cyprus.

Cheers,
Grant

Guys it's definitely not a spec D. They are Crystal Grey IIRC and this is the Urban Grey.

As others have mentioned there was a worldwide edition of the Limited. Most went to the U.S. , 25 came to the UK. I also know that some went to Malta/Cyprus and have made their way to our shores.

This is definitely a UK car as the VIN and V5 confirm it. It also has the STI (Type UK) in the door reveal.

It would be helpfull if you stated what it comes with under the bonnet, has it got the radiator pack, aircon & power steering pump, clutch/flywheel, turbo & inlet manifolds, all sundry bolts from engine removal, without this info it will be a very expensive so called £1500.00 engine replacement, as you won't get all that for £1500.00, either put up photo's of the car as it stands, not older ones, or at least remove the one showing all the engine in place

MOTORS S GT I'm getting a list of actual parts required from the garage as we speak. This will enable anyone looking to buy the car the ability to budget a build. I'll also remove the engine photo, as you say it's confusing.

NormantheDog, yes the detailing link is old but it shows the general standard the car was kept to. It is in very good condition.

As for the £5k cost. The car is going on eBay from Thursday with a starting bid of £3k. Obviously something like this is very difficult to pitch in terms of value and I guess ultimately it will be the winning bidder that will determine what the car is worth. My figure of £5k came from +£2.5k to install an engine. Total cost being c. £7.5k for a low mileage, great condition STI. Felt about right to me.

Anyway I've already had Mr Lucky Lucky tell me that he's coming over with the funds for the car! Just need to send him my bank account details!!

Quick send him your details.....as at 5k mate being honest and not bitching at you it's to much .
It's a hawk and not a desirable model....that's in my opinion so take it with a pinch of salt
And even up and running it's still on the list , that scares a lot off

Like I said , the above is MY opinion , the ebay starting price is more fetching

Donny, totally respect your opinion and acknowledge your comments. It's such a difficult thing to put a value on which is ultimately why I've put it on to eBay. I'm confident at £3k starting it will have a reasonable amount of interest. I guess I just wanted to see if there was any interest in snapping it up first. In fairness I've had a good amount of enquiries about the car so let's see!!

As stated above
A pic of the car how it stands in your possession now .
Also the engine bay
I don't understand if the engine failed , it should have been in car for the insurance ?
Last question is it goin on with no reserve ? If so I will def be bidding
