Default Impreza WRX 1996 White

For sale is my version 3 wrx in white. It is in extremely good condition for its age, that's outside, underneath and inside which is standard. Mechanically sound and pulls very well with 310bhp. It has got 153,000 km on the clock so about 95,000 miles.
It benefits from
Hayward and scott 2.5 inch cat back system
Green panel filter
Decat (heatwrapped)
Samco hoses
Sti strut brace
17 inch speedline st2 wheels with Toyo tires which have at least 6 mm tread left.
Sti rear lights
Toad alarm system with 2 fobs.

The car has been mapped by fb tuning and is always run on shell vpower.

Oil and filter was changed on the 1st of august last month with mobil 1.

This is my 5th impreza classic shape and by far the best condition, only thing I could say is slight bubbling on nsr quarter panel which I have included in picture but its not worried me enough to get it done.

Looking for £3495

There quite hard to price at the moment as they are getting rarer now in good condition, I'm not really worried if it doesn't sell so won't be budging on the price.

Not sure mate, when I bought the car the owner told me fb tuning had done the work so I phoned them and they said they did a Cambelt and mapped it to vpower, 310bhp. He said it was a good couple of years ago now.

You might want to take a look at the ecu then to see whats what.
May well help the sale, especially if there's aftermaket gear down there.

Well I phoned the guy at fb tuning up twice and he remembered the car very well and said it's deffinitely been mapped to 310bhp.
It's annoying that I have no proof but it wouldn't really make sense if he was lying.

I would say around £200-300 for a decent job.

Only my opinion and up to you what you ask for it but it looks very expensive to me for a 96 WRX with a few bits.

You could buy a classic STi for the kind of money you are looking for ?

As a matter of interest , I sold my 96 WRX wagon last year with similar mileage for less than £1,000 (before you ask, it did not have terminal rust or any running issues !)

Good luck with the sale, it is worth as much or as little as someone is willing to pay for it.

You sold the same car/spec but a wagon for less than a £1000???

Just re read your post. Sounds like either, the buyer got an absolute bargain or there were issues with the car. Op good luck with the sale, looks a cracker.

It just doesn't ring true. Good classics, wether wagon, or the better looking version (joke) are worth sensible money. Op your car looks good, I'd say closer to £3k with regards the rust though, imo.

Id say realistic, once a classic shows rust on the exterior of the rear arches it is too late, your 300£ estimate to fix will not get anywhere close to the work needed to fix that, they rust from the inside out so if it is showing on the exterior the inside is long gone

Would also note that it isnt 310bhp on the standard ecu, the apexi has been removed so its not mapped and who knows what the fuelling is doing right now so will need a map check and possible ESL etc fitted...

Exactly that, classics will rust from inside out, the internal metal that you cannot see will rust away to nothing before the exterior arch starts to rot....

chances are there is very little solid metal left behind the exterior arch, you are PROBABLY looking at 1-1.5ks worth of work to sort it out
