Default 1999 V5 STI Wagon

1999 V5 STI Wagon

This car was imported from new by Park Lane Motors. I have the original purchase receipt for £28,000. It has had 4 former keepers.

I bought this car in 2009 from another enthusiast with around 55,000 miles on the clock. It has currently covered 99,500 miles. It has Subaru service history stamped up to 45,000 miles where the previous owner and then I took over servicing.

Engine.
The engine internals have not been modified in any way except for the addition of a modified oil pump at 80,000 miles as this is a known problem with these cars. The exhaust is a ninja sports cat down pipe (I have original cat), ninja resinated centre section and H&S back box. I have also added a Simota panel filter. With these additions I had Bob Rawle remap the car and it is now running 311bhp/321fIb (I have graph to prove). The engine is run on Millers CFS 10w50 and uses no oil between services. It returns between 25 and 27 MPG. Always run on V Power.

Interior
The car has unique leather and grey suede interior with embroidered STI logos. This cost to the original owner another £1000. It has folding mirrors and a parrot phone system. The stereo has been upgraded to an Alpine head unit with iPod connection. It has uprated speakers with an amp and sub in the boot (which is removable).

Wheels
The wheels are genuine Prodrive stamped P1 alloys with good Falken 453 tyres.

Bad points
The drivers rear wheel arch is starting to get bubble rust, i’ve had a quote for getting this done but haven’t gotten around to it.......... thats about it.

I have extensive history with the car including MOT’s going back to 2002. The history reads as a who’s who of the Subaru world - API, Godspeed, CDF, Opi Oils, Aztec, Bob Rawle, etc.

If you want to know more contact me as I could talk for hours about the car, it has detachable tow bar, Excedy Clutch, Samco hoses, Clifford G5 alarm............

Ok, now the price. This is very hard to judge as these cars are getting rare, remember this is a genuine STI imported into the UK from new.

£3000 ONO.

3k for a car of that standard is highway robbery! it really is a sad reflection on the state of the subaru market when a nice example like that only commands that sort of money. glwts buddy, its worth that and more all day long and someone will get a real bargain.

Thanks for the comments. It's been a tough decision to move her on.
I really hope an enthusiast buys my car and it gets the future it deserves.

I'm still thinking about this, depending on what my Forester goes for, and if you still have it, I may make you an offer.

I may need some for of temporary accommodation when I tell the wife though.

Show me a car for £3k that does what your impreza does??? 4wd, fast, lots of space etc etc. Same sort of performance in a newer car will probably cost you £30-40k

Ive learned my lesson over the years, and stick to what I know best now!! Cant beat a Impreza for cheap all round thrills!!

And a hail mary from me, can't be beaten and my most recent cost £4k 3yrs ago and will still stay with the vast majority of cars out there and I can put a washing machine in the back.

Yes, I've used this scoob for everything - family holiday, towing my motorcycles, tip runs, commuting, playing on country lanes and scaring old ladies.

Worth every penny, seems too cheap but that's just where the markets at.
Maybe in biased as I've a V3 wagon and in my head I think it's worth £3k.

I agree its a lot of car for the money. I really don't like seeing her sitting on my drive doing nothing.

What is your location? I'm just awake but couldn't see it in the advert.

I am very interested in something to replace my B5 S4 (should receive a deposit tomorrow) and this just might be perfect.

Are the exhaust/filter/map the only modifications on the car? Will have to check insurance but shouldn't be an issue considering the S4 is 400+bhp and extensively modified.

If I was in the market for another classic this would be on my drive the day after it came up, hell I even want it myself and I don't like silver cars but there's just something about this one that attracts me.

I think you'll seriously miss it when it's gone, as it drives away you'll be thinking what have I just done.
