Default '03 STi Badge Removal From Grill?

I have bought a replacement grill badge for the Sub to freshen up the front end, it arrived today and it occurred to me - how would I go about removing the old one??

Anyone know?? I guessing its stuck on so is it a case of prising it off, or heating up with hair dryer and pulling free?

Si

the problem you have is you cant get behind it due to the lip on the grill.
the best way to avoid damage is too take the grill off and drill a hole from behind through the grill to the badge and dont drill through the badge and then push it off through the hole.
a little heat may help.
this is how i removed mine to replace with a pink i badge, it will kill your original badge though.

Use fishing line or similar to get behind and just slide behind the badge. It'll come straight off

When I bought mine it had a pink badge on it. When I removed it to fit a new one, I found the original underneath. In other words, just stick the new one over the original, that way you won`t wreck the original.

Thanks for the pointers guys, will offer up the new one and see how it sits with old one underneath. Failing that i will try some fishing line and if all that doesn't work out comes the drill!!!!

Thanks again

Si

i dont think you will get fishing line behind it as the badge sits in a lip
