Subaru 2004 hatchback boot opening problems

Default Subaru 2004 hatchback boot opening problems

Hi i have a 2004 subaru wrx prodrive hatch back but the boot will not open it happened the same time last year but never got round to fixing it. It works if you hit just above the handle but today my son pulled it to hard and i think he broke it so i need help what should i do.

So.........will it open with the key? Does it/did it open from inside?

I assume you have greased and lubricated the mechanism and lock?

hi its a hatchback not a saloon has no key hole i sprayed it with wd40 and nothing but it is always this time every year

I think he means an estate/a wagon?

But AFAIK, they HAD an external bootlock?
