Default version 5/6 sti spoiler, any difference?

i recently got my spoiler and i put it on the car today for a trail fitting, all the holes match up but there seems to be quite a big gap in the middle. Im now wondering if the version 5 spoiler is different to the version 6??

Can anyone help me out, also tell me which spoiler ive got the version 5 or 6??

Any help would be appreciated

this is the pic you can see theres a lot of gap between the tailgate and spoiler.

the lower half of the version 5 & 6 spoiler is the same, exact fitment, Is the brake light missing? not clear in the pic. is that the gap you refer to?

The only physical difference between the 5 and 6 is the 6 has an angled trailing edge on top of the spoiler where as the 5 is flatter

yours looks like a 5

The one you posted a link to has the brakelight underneath. As in: on the LOWER half of the spoiler.

Yours appears to have SPACE for a brakelight, but I can't see a brakelight either.

Is yours a copy, or genuine? Do you know what It's made of?

well the bloke i got it off said it was genuine v5 spoiler and yeah it does have a brakelight but even with bonding its to far away from the bootlid to sit flush. Also the other ones on ebay have a little bit under the brake light which mine hasnt got. hmmm this is annoying me

Mine is a genuine V6 spoiler, it has a piece of plastic moulding under the brakelight, held on with three machine screws.

There is a gap under mine, about 4mm or so,Are you using just the side bolt holes or do you have holes in the middle of the boot also ??

im just using the bolt holes on each edge
