Default HELP!! how do i remove large decals??

Im picking up a bug eye this week that has the full decals front, back and sides. They look like they are going to be a pain to get off and im worried i will damage the paintwork if i do something wrong. Can someone tell me what i should be doing or should i leave it to a professional?

Cheers

Hairdryer, fingernails and patience worked for me use the hairdryer to heat up the patch you are going to take off to warm the sticker glue then peal it off, you may need to use some sort of bug remover to get some of the residue off afterwards, shouldn't be too much though if you do it right.

I always find washing the car with HOT water and then peeling them off helps, I dont really know why but I used to have to peel "learner" stickers off of Mini's when I worked @ BMW and it always worked a treat!

I have used a heat gun but found it made the stickers a bit brittle and flaky.

Hope that helps!

Enquire how long the graphics have been on the car. If it's been a few years the paint underneath will likely be a shade darker than the rest.

But anyhoo, heat the vinyl up with a hairdryer/heatgun, peel it away gradually. When off, use Autoglym Bug & Tar Remover to remove any glue/residue from the bodywork. Afterwards, polish the panel(s) with your usual polish. Should come up a treat.

the only real way to do it is with a hairdryer and patience.
