Default Removing rear Subaru badge on Hawkeye

Is this easy or does it leave holes?
Anyone done it?
Any photos?
Thanks

Never done it on a Subaru, but have de-badged plenty of other marques in my time. Doubt very much it will have any pins to leave a hole?

Best mothod by far is to use a hairdryer with warm (Not too hot) air and if it doesn't peel straight off, get some fishing line and slice through the sticky glue/foam on the back to remove the badge. Then it's a case of a bit of elbow grease to get rid of the remaining adhesive from the paintwork. A quick clean up with tar remover and then a few coats of bodywork polish and you should see any feint marks just disappear .

Hope this helps,

Phil

I'm not sure but I think the main blue one in the middle goes through the boot lid the other two are relatively easy to do, you need some fishing line to pull through the glue.

It's very odd if it does, no Scoob badge AFAIK has ever been fixed by any more than adhesive

Are those posters who say otherwise sure, ie: have they done it?

Certainly the letters and the front grille badge are adhesive only, as are the side badges on earlier models.

It's not for security but for accuracy of fitting AFAIK!! My 05 STi has an 06 bootlid on as Subaru ordered the wrong one but I think it looks ok actually!!
