Question WRC Style Roof Scoops

A bit cool or a bit gay?

I feel the front end of my bugeye is missing something and I've thought about perhaps looking into adding one. What's the general consensus on these?

This is the style I've looked at:

SUBARU IMPREZA WRC ROOF SCOOP >VENT, sti wrx 01 - 07 on eBay (end time 22-Aug-09 12:57:11 BST)

Cheers for any input lads.

Tom

lol dude that's so wrong. I'd go for a Spec C vent myself if they weren't nigh on 300 quid and I'd lose my map reading lights

I'm still umming and aahing over getting the scoop posted in the first post, I just think they look good. Sure, it would only be there for looks, but let's be honest, my STI8 rear spoiler is hardly seving a purpose besides looking awesome!

Tom87,
The rear spoiler serves a REAL purpose. Take it off and see what happens when you reach some serious speed. Personally I think the above roof plastic looks gash and it is a "wannabe". But each to their own and if you like it then fill your boots son.

Default wrc roof scoop

i think cats like the spec c roof vent as they can get on top of the roof flip the lid and poo in it which is probably the only good use for it but who would pay £350 quid for that stupid vent when it only has that purpose

Freddie stop talking sh*t in my thread, I'm asking for opinions of the product I posted up, not for people to slag off Spec C roof vents (which are infinitely better anyway!)

Don't think I'll be going for a roof scoop now anyway, but I still feel the front end of my car is missing something. Perhaps a splitter from HT Autos...

I would fit one of your "go faster" stick on wannabe's, but I am afraid it would blow off with the power I have.

Get in my car (which does not have air-con).... get on a track and then tell me the roof vent is worthless. EXACTLY the reason it was put on my car for.
