Default spray laquer

hi guys i recently sprayed my splitter silver and over spayed with clear laquer. the thing is i cant get that glossy laquered finish. you cant tell ive laquered it even though ive used nearly a full can on it. any ideas ?

use 2500 or 3000 wet and dry paper leave to soak over night and lightly flat the lacquer and buff back with suitable polish and machine (g220,rotary)if this dont work you're looking at respraying it again

will it need a rubbing compound ?

no,just well soaked 3000 wet and dry,dont sand it too much or you will have strike through onto the paint,just try sanding it then buffing and repeat progress,until you're happy,out of curiousity how long did you let the paint dry?

about an hour it was very sunny and hot.

just give it a go then roger,try a polish pad with any sort of finishing polish,(menzerna,megs 80 or 83 if that doesnt do it try a light cut pad with said polishes

if you look on detailing world theres stacks of info and pics showing wet sanding

hope you get a result any way
