without sounding rude, was it one of the cheaper copies?
can you post a link to the ebay page so others don't buy the same one? (i've got one eye on STI8 spoilers on ebay myself....)

and yes steve ppp it certainly seems to be a cheap copy as there is no fixing points or instructions... mind you though the spoiler cant be faulted in looks or fitment. (wel of course there is the issue with it needing bonding on)

You could bond it with Tiger Seal, It is used for bonding body panels amongst other stuff, You would break the spoiler before it came off, trouble is it is quite messy when you push down, It will ouse out Etc, You need enough but not to little Etc, Cleaning it around the spoiler afterwards with solvent is very fiddly.
Plus what happens if your spoiler cracks & you want to repair/replace !!!

I'm having my spoiler fitted next week alongside having side skirts painted and my bodyshop has quoted £200 for fitting and painting the spoiler.
Not cheap but he is good.

If you have got to have the spoiler sprayed, You might as well pick yourself up another bootlid from ebay or a breakers and bond the spoiler to the new bootlid and have the lot painted. THat way you could easily revert back to your original bootlid and spoiler - Its only four bolts holding the bootlid to the car and a connection for the 3rd brakelight.

i purchased a secondhand sti8 oem spoiler as i didnt want fibreglass crap and it was black , got it painted for £100 inc materials and made a template and drilled the other holes needed . not sure if replica ones bolt in half cos if not there more difficult and costly to spray !! as dean said tigerseal or stikaflex !
