Question Bugeye to Hawkeye frontend conversion?????

Thinking about it but I am unsure of how difficult it would be and much it would cost. If anyone knows of anybody who has done it before or could help me in anyway, it would be most appreciated.

P.S. sorry about the misleading original title, I am not converting my hawkeye to have a bugeye frontend.

Could be expensive, Wings, Bonnet, Bumper, Lights.

I would say about £4k at least. The HID lights alone are about £500-600 each

Cheers for the advice, think I'll stick with what I've got. There is so many other things I would rather do with that money and I (unlike some people) like the bugeye, just fancied a change but not for that money.

As is often the case, probably cheaper, and definitely easier to just sell the Bug and buy a Hawk. A bit like the Sport owners whom always want to do a turbo conversion.

yer it can be done, theres a kit u can buy with the rad support. etc. all u need to get is headlights wings etc. some guy did it in america, i was thinking about doing it, but because the hawk is wider i reckon it would look werid even on a blob.

Can you remember where you seen the guy in America who did it, I would love to see some pics to get a better idea of what it would look like?

Wider ? Only at the rear arches....

I saw a 1.5 R estate in a salvage yard, some scally had cut the fence and removed the whole front end ( at a dealers ! ).

Have done bug to blob and it was reasonably straight forward, and bought the bits 2nd hand to keep costs down.

i thought 2005 onwards had a wider track, therefore when putting on for example 06 wings, the wheels would be lost in the arches. ?

it was on naoic. it might even be chargespeed that sells the kit.

It's the same bl**dy bodyshell !

As for a hawk-eye, that's just another face-lift too !

P.S. I was tempted to ask ABW to do a wide arch bug to hawk conversion.... WRC stylee

P.S.S. I love how the yanks are well into bug-eye conversions onto later models !

Front bumpers are £280 and wings £220 from memory , not on ebay shop no , I've got someone working on an online shop for me which will be live in the next couple of weeks . Stuffs always available though .
Rear arches in steel would be approx £1500

Definately you should keep a diary in the projects folder. I'm sure I would not be the only one that would be very interested in seeing your progress.
Good luck, hope everything works out for you.
