painting bumper and side skirts
i need to repaint my bumper, but can only use spray cans as no access to compressor,i will obviously rub down the bumper with light wet and dry paper, just wondered what type of paint and undercoat to use on plastic,i will be getting the tins made up by a paint shop to get exact match.

I would take it to a garage. Have you ever tried painting with an aerosol can? Its not easy and you will never get an original looking finish. It won't be cheap to buy the paint and when you see the results, you'll wish you hadn't bothered!

I can get a pretty good finish with spray cans but you will never get a colour match especially if it's metallic. The finish while pretty good will never be as good as a good bodyshop (it may be better than a crap ones though).

Where are you? My mate, who has the garage next to me, has offered me use of his compressor and kit, whenever i need it, so if you live near me, you could use it, or give him a crate and he'd spray them for you.
