how well does the finish look when you paint the black plastic trim on the outside of your car?

to do this take the trim off i take it you want to match the colour of your car rub it down a 120 grade or maybe an 80 will be sufficient so the primer sticks then use plastic coat basically a primer for plastics then find your colour and spray take care not to get any runs or you will have to redo it either that or get a body shop to do it cant imagine it would be that expensive and might be a better finish and they might be able to do it with the trim still on the car and match it in better im sure someone will have done this and give you some more advice.

 

Get it done by a reputable body shop, DON'T expect to pay peanuts, the results will be in-distinguishable from the rest of the car.

Get it done cheap, it'll flake off
