Default Where to get a clean grill (blob eye)

I've been almost everywhere, but I cannot find a grill (upper) for my STI8 with no badges or anything - just a clean grill based on the genuine grill without any logo or nothing.

Does anyone know where I can get one?

Modding the original grill is naturally an opportunity, but quite demanding.

Cheers.

Why don't you save your money and just do it yourself? Debadging the front grille is a piece of pi55. You can then spray it any colour you want. Have a look at mine. . .

Is there a guide anywhere for debadging the front grille?

Not that I know of, you could try a search.

It's easy. All you do is remove the grille, carefully cut off the badge as close to the top and bottom as you can then file it flat. Then wrap some fine sandpaper on a small piece of flat wood and finish off. When its all level change to some very fine wet and dry paper, (use it wet for a better result) again using the piece of wood. You may have to use a small amount of body filler as a wee hole may appear after sanding where the badge was once joined. Once again, sand flush. Once your happy with your sanding and its all nice and smooth all you need do is spray it. I sprayed the mesh too so it all matched, in satin black.

The more time you take, the better the result.

That's exactly what I'm looking for, looks perfect.

What do you do about the "holes" in top and buttom left from cutting out the badge, aren't they visible? The mesh is placed at the back of the grill.

Just be careful when you're cutting the badge out really. If you take your time when filing then final sanding, the hole you are left with is tiny. Use the filler from the back/underside or top side of the grill when you fill it, then sand down flush on the visible part, if you know what I mean. Once you've sprayed it you'll never notice.

The mesh is held from the back of the grill by 5 or 6 push on metal clips. These just prise off then clip back on again once you've done the job.
