Dunno abt the 05, but I can't imagine it's any much different to a classic:

Remove door card and release wiring.

Prize up the black plastic triangular cover from inside the vehicle.
Undo three bolts, remove mirror from outside, feeding wiring through after it.

Takes about ten minutes, once you suss out the door card

Only for a classic, sorry.

On classics, theres a screw under a cover near the front, another near the armrest/pull.

Then you have to prize out the window controls, undo the wiring from them, prize out the door catch surround, and finally, prize UP the door card along the bottom from it's push-fit clips. Work slowly and do each clip at a time. DON'T undo the large screw in the door catch mechanism.

After that, the door card lifts and pulls away from the door.

Probably similar on a newage.
