calliper spraying

Default calliper spraying

id really like to take my callipers off and spray then a better colour than rust but havent got a clue how to so it.

Are callipera easy to take off and put back on? anybody done theres hemselves? whats a good colour to go for?

Very easy to do TBH, Reds popular, B&Q sell good paint for doing it, Plastickote range.

You can do thme on the car in situ but it involves masking off everything (thats how I did mine).

Easy enough to do in situ. A bit of care, a 1/2" brush and a child's paintbrush.

I used the smooth Hammerite, Smoothrite, in red for the rears on mine. B&Q don't stock the decent colours any more, at least OUR branch doesn't, but I bought from a local carshop.

The beauty of Smoothrite is that it dries SOOOOO quickly. Two quick coats, about 15 minutes between, wheels back on and away you go. You can do all four calipers in an afternoon with only the car's own jack..........but a hydraulic one does make it easier

used hammerite on my calipers it took about 2 hours and worked a treat
