Cool My rear end...

After 10 long days in the body shop I've finally got my baby back!

The amount of work that went into this rear end is unreal... it'd take me all day to tell you what was done step by step - but needless to say my body shop guy is a legend!

I remember your car at Japfest 2, the side exit exhausts were a give away. I dont mean to be rude but WHY???

The roof vanes look good, but the bumper is truly awful. Is it for real? from the pictures it looks like a photoshop job - and a bad one at that.

Just my opinion, if you like it then fair play to ya.

I just wanted a hefty diffuser and the only one available for Scoobys is so under stated its almost invisible- as you can tell from my car styling I'm up for in-ya-face mods so this was the only route for me!

And thats not a bad photoshop jobbie... its my new D900 phone, how dare you cuss my sexy new phone... lol!

I know what you mean tho mate - each to their own, cheers for the comments!

If I'm correct we may have shared a few miles on the RB run last year, I remember how different your car was........looked good

But I have to agree, that bumper is just wrong.

Congrats, you've done one better than Subaru. You've actually managed to make an ugly car into something far worse

Ah could be mate I remember the Richard Burns relay well - such a good event and my 1st big Scooby related type thing!

I'm chalking up the yay's and nay's for this mod... my inspiration was J-Lo & Beyonce... but both those cheeky-chicks have now reduced their signiture feature... hmmm... maybe I missed the boat on this one, lol!

Still thanks for the comments Allan

Certainly is "In yer face"

No offence intended, but I don't like your bumper. Each to their own though. It's your car and you like it so that's what matters

Alex which garage did the work on your car?

And if you don't mind me asking, how much does 10 days worth of bodyshop work cost these days

I gotta say mate, the bumper isn't doin it for me personally but as others have said, if you're happy what does it matter what I think

I do really like the front end and the exhausts tho

It may not be to everyones (or anyones, lol) taste, but if you see it in the flesh you'll see the workmanship is fantastic and he's made it look factory finished...

My body shop is in Edgware (HA8) and if anyone wants any work done on their car: body kits, custom jobs, spraying etc then I guarantee you wont find a better place or a better price quoted!

This job cost me a fair bit, but I was down there almost everyday and I saw every little thing he had to do... not an easy job, but in my eyes worth every penny!

The front end is gonna slightly change with the addition of a charge speed vented bonnet and the exhaust is changing very soon for a system that no doubt everyone will dispise, lol! ...cant wait, lol!

those last pics are better, i really like the idea youve gone for, i just think the sides of the bumper are too large and square when viewed from the side, if you somhow reduced them, but kept the diffuser look then itd be ace

That does look better in my eyes,
as the FULL SIDE bits looked a little to plasticy, But with the Black it breaks it down a touch,

The side exit system will soon be up for sale - fits directly onto standard 2.5" flange downpipe. Exits both sides!

Reason for sale - I'm fitting HUGE AC Cobra style side winders as this system is as you say... very suttle, lol!

Cheers Baz - was a gamble posting on here, but wanted a broad opinion.

It difficult with these custom mods coz they are just my own ideas and unless I get feedback good and bad I cant make the appropriate tweeks to get them perfect. So all comments highly welcome

As much as I like to see people being different, should this style of modding not be done to novas/corsas and stuff !!!! I liked the car before it had this done and if you do the cobra side exhausts it will really not look cool. Why spoil a fantastic car already ??!!!

Only my opinoin though as everybody else has said if you like it then fair enough , but personally its a no no !!!!

Sorry

No apology's necessary mate, all comments welcome! ...I must admit I have had a few Nova's in the past and odds are a bit of pre-pubesant-Maxpower-styling is creeping into my train of thought when I'm cunjuring up these ideas, lol!

That creased me up

Speed humps... hmmm... to be honest I've been avioding them like the plauge, but I've braved a few and so long as I creep over them slowly (as god intended) its all good.

Trouble is I cant race round anymore now (not that I did b4 thats just naughty), but taking corners hard = bumper liking tarmac! Gotta go easy now which is cool
