Question Fitting Mupflaps to WR1 & WRX

Gents,

I'm looking at buying a couple of sets of the black prodrive mudflaps for our two cars & was wondering about fitting...

Are they a straight screw/bolt on into existing holes or are the a custom fit (drill yer own type)??

If they are easy I will give it a go, but anything tricky is probably a garage job...

What should I expect to pay to have them fitted for me????

Cheers,

Liam.

Got Hendrys to fit my Scott Lowe Rally style flaps.

Only one hole per wheel needed drilling, the rest used existing bolt holes.

I only used Hendrys because the wheels needed to be removed to do the job, and my driveway was not level enough to take the risk!

They charged me £70 to do it..

I got the ProDrive Black flaps fitted to my WR1.
I've a really good dealer and they fitted them free, it's just a little after sales service that goes a long way.
Try your dealer, I did not want to **** things up.

The Prodrive black flaps can be purchased from your Subaru dealer as per the Subaru Uk website: http://www.subaru.co.uk/IMGGB/WWW/Su...1?Opendocument

£112.49 per pair. Fitting should be straight forward but I'm sure your dealer would fit them FOC (or for a small fee). If you don't ask you don't get!!

hi m8

i fitted them for my dad on his WR1 it was a matter of drilling 1 hole on each side inside the arch for the rears and then 2 bolts on the outside and the fronts where u remove the 2 plastic black grub screws on the outside and then drill a hole on the inside and bolt the outside with 2 bolts. dead easy m8 all u need to do is take the wheels off took me about 30min to do the lot i might have the instructions somewhere if u want me to e-mail them to u and pics?

I also have the Scott Lowe ones. Fitted them myself and in all it took me approx 1hr. Very simple once you have taken time to fully understand how they go together.

Search on here for fitting tips as the fronts can be a bit tricky as you must tape the plastic bolts in place or they will fall behind the side skirts and very difficult to retrieve apparently!

Jasoon posted some very good fitting instructions / piccies.

Has neone else found that the Scott Lowe mudflaps dont line up straight at the back?? Mine seem to sit out by about an inch, and looks untidy....

Mine sit fine. Did you fit the metal bracket on the inside?

Liam

They are very straightforward to fit and don't involve drilling the body. Full fitting instructions are supplied.

Brackets on the outside is correct. Mine could be squarer, be nicer if they held the colour for more than 6 months, 1st set faded almost straight away, second set 3 months old and holding reasonable.I will have to wait and see.

Is that the Scott Lowe ones? Which colour have you gone for?
