anybody suggest a way o doing this - just removed bust lip spoiler .....

 

Very (and I mean gentle) gentle heat from hairdryer or heatgun to soften the mastic so it can be pulled off (assuming a bead left on paintwork) and then white spirit used sparingly to remove what's left. Followed by a good waxing if a replacement is not being fitted.
