Firstly apologies if this is posted in the wrong section, mods please move if it is...

Ok I have a spot bit of rust that has burst the paint on my car ( area is smaller than your little finger nail )

My question is how can I treat this to stop it spreading or getting any worse than it already is..!! Having just spent £500 on a service I am reluctant to take it to a body shop for such a small area...

noticed I have rust around th top of the windowscreen and down the side of the ariel along side the window screen well gutted although quite lucky as I can just get the roof re done be easier to match in...

pain really as the impreza comes with 6 years corrosion warrenty and my car is 6 year old in 5 days time, so theroetically its still in warrenty and subaru should sort it but it only covers up tot he bottom of the window lines
