Which silicon sealer
I am trying to find the correct type silicon/adhesive type sealer to put back the black alluminium strip that goes between the top front windscreen & the roof skin.
I have tried various types of silicon sealers but non of them have had a strong adhesive, everytime I locate the strip to the screen/roof with the silicon & hold it down with some pressure & strong tape, leave it for 12/24 hours. When I get back to it the strip has not bonded correctly & there is always a gap were the strip has flex back.
My local diy suggested to use a two pack type mix paste/adhesive but to be honest that seems to strong & will form rock hard, if ever I need to replace the front screen I dont want to have to chisel it out.
Some one must know of the correct or factory based type sealer, whats its called & where from please, any suggestions?

Sikaflex or tiger seal - basically a thick black bond that dries like rubber (use it for sticking body kits on and holding cars together in body shops
) should be able to get them from a motor factors, think no more nails is similar. Would it not be cheaper and easier to go to an auto glass place and get them to use the proper stuff?
