Question

Hi Mick,

I've noticed that the Prodrive USA and Japan have Impreza products that aren't shown on the UK web site. Do you have a complete product list for the UK Market?

For example I believe Prodrive UK has released a new spring kit for the MY03 WRX (SACC2566). The kit isn't listed on the UK site yet.

Cheers,

Rich

Not to mention what is available for the rest of Europe...
Even Cyprus market has much more Prodrive products from us as they buy directly from Japan without taxes!

Rich,

Have a look at www.Japanparts.com, cheaper than usual UK ripoff prices and delivered to your door.

Why not mail prodrive, ask them, and at the same time ask permission to post their reply here? I think you're more likely to get an answer.

It strikes me as a shame that the thread has already turned negative - it isn't the best way to get an answer, or get a situation changed...

Thumbs up

The topic was never intended as a "dig" at Prodrive. I am simply looking for some feedback. (Andy Thanks for the www.Japanparts.com URL).

Like must people I feel Prodrive produce excellent aftermarket upgrades for the Impreza. But it would be advantageous to all parties involved they didn't keep them so secret

Does anyone else have a complete list of Prodrive UK Parts?

Cheers,

Rich

chiark, there are no negative vibes here, its just that we UK lot seem to get the stuff last or a limited amount of items on offer!!!

i mean take alook for urself on the UK and the USA prodrive sites, you'll see what i mean!!!

there are some awesome wheels in the USA site, unavailable to us UK lot!!!

and have a look at the swrt.com shop site, then the swrt.co.jp. shop

it just annoys me why i have to order stuff from the states rather then from my own country.

it arrives quicker and is cheaper!!!

In that case, my apologies RB5 - the "it sucks" sorta smacked of petulant schoolboy to me, but it's difficult to get the nuances of pronunciation on a bbs

Agreed there are some tasty bits out there; there's talk of an official sticker kit in the USA just to lightly rattle that can of worms

I would try mailing Mike to see what he thinks? His email address is pretty well known.

Cheers,
Nick.

Cool

At least you lot get the option to fit Prodrive or other stuff on your cars. I have to get every single nut and bold approved on my car here.

There are also no aftermarket Subaru parts here so we have to import everything which costs a fortune to buy then to ship then to get fitted. Then we have to pay someone to test it and say yes you can fit it or no you can't fit it, we also have to carry a piece of paper round with us with all parts listed on it.

ie I am only allowed to fit 205/50/16 wheels on my car unless I pay the TÜV to approve some other ones. If I get stopped by the police with my 17" whels on they will empound the car because it is not road worthy. I will get fined and will also have to pay to get the car towed away and also to recover it.

If I can find a set of approved 17" wheels the number of the wheel wil be logged in my papers and I am only allowed to fit that wheel and not any other 17" wheel.

If I get stuff approved for my car then it is approved for my car and my car only, not anyone elses identical car.

The PPP is illegal over here because it changes the power of the car and also the noise level, power is not a problem on it's own but the noise the car made when it left the factory is not negotiable and is not allowed to be changed.

I could go on but your probably bored already and don't really give a stuff anyway.

So please can you tell me again why your so hard done by in the UK.

Cool

Taff who are MHW ??? and I don't think I am exaggerating! have you lived here then ????

Also Bilstein are a German company and we are not allowed to fit Bilstein Coilovers either, because

1) they are not TÜV approved for the Impreza
2) you can not buy them here.
