Ok ive got some mesh which is black, im presuming its been dipped in paint. Ive got some srpay paint from halfords for what i want to do but does it need priming and sealing etc. Any help needed coz i dont really want the paint flaking off 2 days after its finished.

John,

I had some mesh that I just gave a few coats of Hammerite smooth - been on the car a few weeks now with no chips or flaking. If you really wanted to do a proper job, you might want to sand it a bit, then prime it before painting, even this method wouldn't be that hard to do.

Cheers mate, should i seal what im spraying on to it tough to stop that flaking off?? i know the black thats on it at the moment wont come off coz its been dipped.
Maybe just a clear laquer or summat??

P.S - you seen B9GLY ????? lol

You could try sealing it, but I've not had any trouble with the logo I've painted over the black, and I've not used any lacquer. Hammerite is quite tough stuff, so you should be OK without. Should be a doddle to touch up as well, should the need arise.

I've never seen B9GLY, round Birchwood or otherwise, but then I think I have a Scooby exclusion zone around my car, as I never see anyone else on this board, except for meets !
