Can anyone give me some advice with rear light clusters, think its time for me to replace the UK ones with the STi ones but is there a solution to the fog light thing.

Obviously I want to be seen but I dont really want to have to bolt one under the car like on the jap models.

On my fiesta which I had before I replaced one of the bulbs with a high intensity led bulb.

Anyone got any comments or suggestions, I just "have" to get rid of the tango at the back!

stick a red bulb in the fog lamp bulb holder, and stick it in your reversing light

works a treat

sonic, isnt that the problem though, there isnt a fog light bulb holder?

I was thinking more like stick a bright red painted bulb into one of the reversing light holes and rewire one side?

There is a fog light bulb holder unless you change your loom as well

I used my existing loom & bulb holders

huh?

I was under the impression that the jap clusters didnt have a space for the fog light and thats why all the jap cars have a fog light slung underneath?

You saying that if I merely put a bulb into a hole thats already there it'll just work and i'll keep both my reverse lights?

Oh i think i see (glass over existing cluster arrangement, so I just need to get a red bulb then)

drivers side there is a bit were you can cut a whole and put a bulb holder in...

or just re-wire the reverse light and use a red bulb.

star, you dont happen to know how the original parts differ from the ones that scoobymania sell do you? cos TSL want £280 genuine and SM want £200 for copies.

BTW, did you sell the lexus ones, i decided STi was best

-----------------------------------------------------------------
That is what i did , i removed drivers side reversing bulb and wired up fog lamp signal wires from switch to this i bought a high intensity red led bulb it has about 6 leds on it from Revolution .
Okay i now only have one reversing light but from the outside there are still two clear reversing covers , flick fog lamp on and hey presto tou have bright red high intensity fog light much better than a bolt on one and simple to install no need to drill any holes in light cluster.

hope this helps
