HELP!!! - Spoiler blanking plates???
#1
Can anyone help?
I've bought a WRC spoiler for my '02 from TSL. It's currently being sprayed and due to be fitted on the 19th. Thing is, I've now found out that the new spoiler won't hide the 2 holes nearest the back window on the boot lid left by the old spoiler?
Paul at TSL told me that they come with blanking plates which merge into the spoiler to cover them but this sounds a bit of an after thought to make the spoiler fit UK cars?
Has anyone got info on this or even better any pics of these covering plates?
Thanks in advance!

I think the WRC rear spoiler we sell is from the same manufacturer, and it was originally designed for the European market - where it's possible to but a WRX with no bootlid spoiler.
But for the UK cars, they don't cover 2 of the original holes. The plastic blanking covers don't fit very well and look a bit tacky, we prefer to use 2 small colour coded plugs for the holes, if the customer is still wanting one.
We prefer not to sell these spoiler in the UK, but recommend the Rallytech version which uses the 4 original holes for fitting, so it covers all existing holes with no need to drill any more.
I can e-mail you a picture of these platic covers if you want to see them.

I had an Sti5 style one fitted at TSL which used the same system. They spent an age filing down the blanking plates so that they fitted perfectly - they look like part of the spoiler now
sorry Greg still no pics!
