Before I go on, please don't be childish about it.

I checked my IC today and since I bought it, a few more fins are bent, and I'm slightly concerned if I keep going like this. I could get a Power Engineering IC protector, but Meshing the bonnet scoop would be a lot cheaper option. Has anyone done it to their Scooby? If so, can you post the steps you took. Thanks

don't do it. first it is boyracer(ish) an second, meshing the scoop is like blocking off half of the intake area.

actually.. i have this "mesh" if you will...
on my WRX rally car...

works great!
this particular unit is made from steel, not aluminum.
it's powdercoated, and it does the intended job!

air still flows well to permit the IC to breathe,
and my fins are protected
cant tell you how many rocks/bugs/bits i have cleaned out of this scoop mesh...

I'm sorry ... boyracer or not...
it does work
