Anyone know wher eyou can get those stick on number plates from without going to a caravan centre and having some dirty 'vanner's store logo on it?

i know r-tec auto design (01727 790100) do them but i don't know if they do them mail order or not (i'm guessing you don't want to travel far to get it).

I'd imagine it would be difficult to do any form of number plate by mail given the latest laws governing them. IIRC you've got to produce the V5 when ordering plates - awkward (though not impossible) by mail order.

Cool! In that case one of the few situations where new laws are less obstructive than you think they're gonna be

So what's the score with stick-on number plates as far as the law is concerned ? Don't they need a reflective background, which you wouldn't get with a stick-on plate ? I'm think of putting one on my MY98 lip spoiler, am I likely to get pulled every 5 minutes ?

Melomax, are your plates stiff plastic like normal plates, or thin film stick on ? The reason I'm asking is that I want to stick one to my lip spoiler (Prodrive / STi 4) which is not perfectly flat but slightly curved (so a stiff one wouldn't stick on its own), and I don't really want to drill holes in it.

Cheers m8

Went on the car with no trouble, the film is slightly flexible, so getting bubbles out is not a problem. Basically, I'm well pleased with the result, only problem now is removing the existing number plate bracket which is held on with TORX Security fasteners (why ?!) which aren't straightforward to get hold of.

I'll post a pic in a few days, but I would definately recommend one !!

I have bought stuff off you before Trev but you have gone down in my opinion 10 fold after your last post.

Wink

At GtGrafix we dont do a price match promise.

I was just stating the sad truth that you do get what you pay for, we do not concentrate on price. We concentrate on high quality. I saw this Topic and thought I may be able to help so I simply stated the price we charge. There are a lot of plate makers out there which do charge less, and we are aware of this. Im sure that if you asked any previous customer including yourself that you cannot get a higher quality reg plate anywhere else due to the fact we use over £150,000.00 worth of equipment to make each plate.

Im sorry that you took my arrogant attitude to heart.

Now thats just blatent advertising - which is a bit more acceptable!

As I said - I have bought from you in the past and the plates you made are sitting on the floor next to me now so I know how good or bad they really are.

I jus don't like to see blatent jibes between companies (which your first comment was)

Anyhoo - What I want to see is some pics of these plates on a bl00dy car - been waiting for a pic for ages!
