Cool

I'm quite happy with the process of painting my brake calipers. The only thing that I'm not sure about is when you bleed the calipers. When you open the bleed nipple and brake fluid seeps out, how do you protect the newly painted surface of the caliper. I assume that the fluid will wreck the finish.

Cheers,

Craig.

Thumbs up

Yes it will, but the usual way to bleed brakes is to put a short, (about 300mm), length of polythene tubing onto the nipple b4 opening it, so that any leakage goes into a container.
Also, using the tubing allows you to see if you are releasing air and fluid, or just fluid.
Then, when you pull the tubing off, after you finish that caliper, wipe off any drips quickly with a paper towel etc.
