Thinking of painting the wheel hubs. I've got a silver Scoob, silver wheels and blue callipers.

I was thinking of painting the hubs silver, black or blue....what do you think?

Has anyone else done it - if so, any pics

Cheers m'deers

Question

Do you really mean the hubs? You can't actually see the hubs on an Impreza. Do you mean the disc bells?
I've done mine with high temperature silver. be prepared top do it again, and again, and again, and...........:
Solved it now, as I have Godspeeds at the front with alloy bells, and Godspeed rears with gold passivated finish.

bells....is that waht they are called. I was going to say break discs (which i supposed they were part of) but i was worried about the replies....."Don't paint them...the breaks won't work....etc"

Anyway, why did you have to re-paint them again and again? I was going to use hammerite after a good scrub down on a wire buff, do you think that would make a difference.

Somethinng to do with heat generated, and salt on the roads, at a guess. They do look better painted, but you have to be ready to repeat the trick:

i'll give it a try, hammerite should cure with heat and the salt should not effect it.

Thumbs up

Try using engine laquer as it lasts a lot longer! (also cheaper £3-4 and you get it in loads of colours as well)
