Due to popular demand SCC Performance are offering a new group buy on their Flamer Kits.
I believe the price for the kit is £80 or £125 fitted.
Please post here your interest

You'll have to drill a tiny hole in your back box & weld a little sparkplug holder onto it. You'll also have to fit the coil (most people put it in the boot (not sure if there's a hole there already). Then all you have to do is run the cabling to dash (for the switch) and connect up the power.
It's beyond my abilities (plus I haven't got the equipment). so I'm going to get mine fitted by the professionals so at least I can be certain it's fitted correctly

Scooby, all you need to do is phone Richard @ SCC Performance 01727 867747 , mention the group buy and bob's your uncle
Whether or not we'll still get it at the reduced price is another thing, been as only 3 of us want it at the moment

Fitted mine a few weekends ago and It had been sat in my garage for about 3 months because i never got round to doing it.
It took me and a couple of mates (Well actually it was my mates ) 2hrs to do. I would have taken less but i couldn't help, I had a hangover

1). As far as i know they are legal to have on the car but not to use on the public highway
2). If you use them while driving (on a private road of course) then the flames will not spoil the bumper as they are expelled out and not up.
3). SCC told me that they take a live from the ignition to a switch in the car if you get it fitted by them.
By the way not sure if you remember but i'm the bloke from the lights at arnos grove. Now go to the link below download the movie and tell me you don't want one of these things.

If you've got any questions, then give me a call at work on the above mentioned number.
To answer any questions in this post.....
Legality. The kits are for show use only However, my brother has a cosworth that flames like it has one of our kits on, only it has no kit! It's taxed, MOT'd, passes emissions test easily, and is road legal, yet it flames......
Burning bumpers. So far, I've not had any complaints. Personally, I put an extra load of polish or wax above the exhaust, so that any scorch marks don't affect the paint at all. Works for me, and my car's been recently resprayed.
Turning it off. Yes, you can. The kit is on a switch - you wouldn't really want it flaming as you pulled into a petrol station for example.......
I can do the kits at the price mentioned in the first post if there's more than five of you.
Mikey - nice to see you finally got it fitted
Many thanks,
Richard.

dont want to step on anyones toes here, but for £100 I can supply a complete flamer kit. The diference being that it all comes in a very neat black box with a ht lead and a single red and black wire that goes through a switch. I may be able to get them cheaper dependant on qty.
Believe me, the kit i have in my car you could have a 3 mm gap and the spark would still jump.
If any one want pics etc then email me
Nigel

Pete, there's bugger all to see! Seen one flame, seen 'em all
It costs next to nothing, you can turn it on or off, indeed you'll forget it's even there until people start flashing you, leaving 50ft distance between you and them and people at bus stops leaping for cover

akshay> full decat I would say yes, as you basicly flame the unburn fumes which normaly should stay in the cat.
some people will say that you MUST have VTA d/valve but I don't have one and you can ask Gridlock Mikey that some "small" flames pushing out the exhaust
lol I'm still grinning Mikey ....
